This makes me nervous. I am scheduled for D&C, hysteroscopy, tubal ligation and Nova Sure next month...
I am scheduled for this Friday 9/26 for the exact same thing. Like my dr. said, if people are happy with it they usually don't take to the internet to write about it, that's why you see mostly negative comments. I keep this in mind when I search.
Very true...I needed that reminder! I would love an update on your procedure and recovery! Prayers for success!
Thanks!! I will try to remember to come back and update!! I'll leave the email I received in my inbox as a reminder. LOL! I am so forgetful.
I had this exact same surgery last Wednesday and feel the exact same way! I feel so bloated! UGH! I don't know if this is normal or not. I don't go back to the doctor until Nov. 7th. Hope you feel better! :)
+ and the caps thing ... how annoying :)
just had mine last thursday. tubal, d&c, novasure and hysteroscopy. she found a ton of uterine polyps that she removed prior to the d&c. i woke up super groggy, nauseous and dizzy. they gave me something for the nausea before i left but i didn't need anything for pain. i went home and slept. to tell you the truth for me, the worst was the sore throat from the breathing tube. i wish i had a mint or water or biotene for my dry, sore throat. maybe you can bring that with you? after day 1, i had a day of excruciating trapped gas pain. felt like someone was stabbing me in the shoulder and side when i walked or moved a certain way. i had relief if i switched positions. i asked my dr to please suck out as much air as she could. ha ha. i had heard this of all things would be the worrisome part. day 3 i felt like i had done about a thousand sit ups but only minor little gas pains. my belly button area was so sore. bruised. needed help to stand up from a seated position. i never took more than advil for a couple days to take the edge off the soreness. no bleeding. no cramps. a little liquidy pinkish discharge. very bloated. wore skirts and loose sweats. today is day 5 and other than a tiny bit sore and very itchy at the site of the incision, im good. need a pantyliner because of the liquidy discharge. bloated yes. not worried about it. it'll go away soon. was it worth it. yes. its uncomfortable and scary but in hindsight wasn't bad at all.anything to stop the massive bleeding i dealt with. i had the tubal because the cooper iud i was using could have been contributing to the bleeding and hormones/chemicals are not my thing, so tubal was a natural choice. good luck to you all. dont freak yourself out with all the scary posts. many people have no issues with their procedures. people who have had problems obviously come online to look for answers and to share their experience. so for every problem, remind yourself that there's probably 10 people who had a good experience and had no reason to come looking for any answers.
