This makes me nervous.  I am scheduled for D&C, hysteroscopy, tubal ligation and Nova Sure next month...

I am scheduled for this Friday 9/26 for the exact same thing. Like my dr. said, if people are happy with it they usually don't take to the internet to write about it, that's why you see mostly negative comments. I keep this in mind when I search.

So far so good! Procedure done yesterday at noon. I was out of there by 3:30 pm. I rotated Percocet and Motrin every 3 hours until 6 this morning. I barely slept last night, no pain, I think the pain meds kept me up. So I am just taking Motrin now. My tummy is not swollen and no pain from the gas they fill it with. I did have nausea and vomiting right when I got home and didn't eat last night. I ate well this morning though and feel normal.

I had a tubal and ablation almost 2 years ago and I have to admit the worst part was the gas that somehow traveled to my back. The gas made me feel as though I was recovering from an automobile accident. It was bad. The surgery was a breeze. Dr. Stovall was EXCELLENT! ! I no longer cramp or have cycles AT ALL. This was definitely a good decision.

I had this exact same surgery last Wednesday and feel the exact same way! I feel so bloated! UGH! I don't know if this is normal or not. I don't go back to the doctor until Nov. 7th. Hope you feel better! :)

I had no problems at all a little sore but no real pain. I would lay around for a while then get up and move around some to keep from hurting. The air is what hurts and it's in my shoulder and it's not bad ether. I guess it all depends on you and how you deal with pain. Good luck to anyone who has this done.

just had mine last thursday. tubal, d&c, novasure and hysteroscopy. she found a ton of uterine polyps that she removed prior to the d&c. i woke up super groggy, nauseous and dizzy. they gave me something for the nausea before i left but i didn't need anything for pain. i went home and slept. to tell you the truth for me, the worst was the sore throat from the breathing tube. i wish i had a mint or water or biotene for my dry, sore throat. maybe you can bring that with you? after day 1, i had a day of excruciating trapped gas pain. felt like someone was stabbing me in the shoulder and side when i walked or moved a certain way. i had relief if i switched positions. i asked my dr to please suck out as much air as she could. ha ha. i had heard this of all things would be the worrisome part. day 3 i felt like i had done about a thousand sit ups but only minor little gas pains. my belly button area was so sore. bruised. needed help to stand up from a seated position. i never took more than advil for a couple days to take the edge off the soreness. no bleeding. no cramps. a little liquidy pinkish discharge. very bloated. wore skirts and loose sweats. today is day 5 and other than a tiny bit sore and very itchy at the site of the incision, im good. need a pantyliner because of the liquidy discharge. bloated yes. not worried about it. it'll go away soon. was it worth it. yes. its uncomfortable and scary but in hindsight wasn't bad at all.anything to stop the massive bleeding i dealt with. i had the tubal because the cooper iud i was using could have been contributing to the bleeding and hormones/chemicals are not my thing, so tubal was a natural choice. good luck to you all. dont freak yourself out with all the scary posts. many people have no issues with their procedures. people who have had problems obviously come online to look for answers and to share their experience. so for every problem, remind yourself that there's probably 10 people who had a good experience and had no reason to come looking for any answers.

Oh my! So glad I didn't read some of these posts before I went in yesterday. So...first off this was my first time going into surgery and let me tell you..I'm a wimp and will not ever do elective surgery again. I didn't wake up for a pretty long time. My pain level was at a 5 and after some drips on pain meds, it went to a 3 and stayed there. Right now as I'm typing, I'm at a 2 and it's the next day. Not too shabby! They sent me home with pain meds, but I threw up several times yesterday and don't want to take anymore chances with being sick, so I'm dealing with the level 2 pain. I breast feed my 15 mos old and that's another reason to not take anything. I actually have taken Tylenol and that worked good enough. The gas from the surgery went to my shoulder and it's uncomfotable. The RN told me to lay flat on my back and that really work's! I'm excited about the end result! On one hand I was sad because this was it..no more sweet babies. My destiny has been fulfilled with three beautiful boys and I'm more than grateful! So now we move on to the next chapter of our lives. My 40's!!!lol I'm sorry to the ladies who have had the major issues with their lady parts and I hope by now it has been all cleared up. Take care, everyone!
