Glycolic acid peel, Salicylic acid peel can help I am dark skinned and I have the same issue. I used to apply lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to the area and leave it over night then rinse it out in the morning the duration depends on different people. Aloe vera helps also to lighten dark areas amongst other things. Baking soda and lemon (citric acid) or dissoluble aspirin and water that you apply to the affected area, rinse out after 30 min or less. Exfoliating with sugar (glycolic acid) and honey or sugar and lemon are also good you may add olive oil to the mix if you like.

Do you just crush the aspirin and mix it with the honey?

I have the same problem and it's defiantly embrassing! I recommend stop shaving and wax or get laser hair removal. It's a little pricey and im 16 as well so minors always need a parent consent form the first time they wax , but it's so much better also aloe Vera does help a lot with getting rid of scars. I recommend buying an exfoliate that they sell when u wax if they don't ask your waxer what they recommend for ingrown hairs

Are there different options as to what types of laser hair removal you should go with for your specific area of trouble? For example, when I got Laser eye surgery they recommended "PRK" not actual "Lasik"

Electrolysis is the only proven PERMENANT hair removal treatment. Laser does NOT work.

Tend skin has help me tremendously. It's a little pricey, but my bikini area was covered in scars and ingrown after years of shaving. I switched to waxing hoping it would help but it only cleared up a little.. I notice a difference with one two weeks after my first application. I put it on after I shower or in the morning when and I wake up or at nights before I go to bed. Not only is it clearing up scars but it's also decreased ingrown hairs. I love this product would recommend it to anyone. I also use it on my face and neck and it's awesome.
