Oh it is so hard to be a parent. I have teenage daughter. Six months ago I had a divorce. I have moved to another town with my 16 years old daughter. My son and former husband are about 90 miles from us. Since we got here she looks sad. She never laughs, look serious all the time. She spends all free time in her room. How can I help her?
I know what you mean. I had the same situation 5 years ago. First you should talk, talk and talk with her. Don't let her hide in her shell. If she is attached to her brother then try to organize that they spend one weekend at your home and the other in your ex-husband house. Go to her school and talk with her teachers to find out how she is behaving in school. Try to encourage her to go out and make new friendships.
