I hate to break this to you, but yes, you had penetration, and as a result, you are no longer a virgin.
However, NOBODY needs to know.
I'm not sure why anyone would think it was their business to ask, but I'd tell anyone what they wanted to hear.
It's nobody's business but your own.
But technically, you're no longer a virgin. No matter if you bleed, or bleed again.

can't stress this enough. As long as a guys penis is IN you, you are not a virgin
Well, that IS the classic definition.
However, some are now saying, anytime you have penetration, whether by a guy or gal, that is the end of your virginity.
Also, the nerve endings in the vagina are clustered around the opening, so even if he were to have probed deeper, the feeling might not have been much different. However, there is a sense of fullness with deep penetration... and, of course, if you are in the missionary position, the weight of the person pressing down on top of you.
I'd also like to point out, whether your period was near or not, you need to be using protection (Birth Control) EVERY time you have such contact..."even a little bit" cause that's how sperm gets passed to a woman... by placing the penis into the vagina OR by passing a sperm coated finger over/in the vagina.
Use caution if you're going to play like a big girl now... 8)

True that. I believe the lost of virginity is a psychological thing rather than physical. Its foolish/childish to believe that the hymen is the symbol and guardian of virginity, with the modern medical technology, hymen is easily reconstructible.
Thus, even if you slept with 10 different guys, you can still be a "virgin" if you do a hymen reconstruction surgery.

Well, I don't think that's how our culture defines virginity.... The existance of an intact hymen is taken to be proof...
but the point remains...
If she's had penetration....even a little bit...or for just a little while... society defines that she is no longer a virgin.
(But then, really, who's business is it to know whether she can be classified a "virgin" or not..... and THAT's my point.)

You can't lose your virginity AGAIN once you lost it you LOST it...
Tugce,
You're trying to split hairs.
Given the question by Paranoid123, if the two people were clothed, then there was no penetration. No penetration, no loss of virginity.
But what's the point of messing around with just your panties and his shorts on?
If you're going that far, you're in danger of having sex, and so, pregnancy becomes a real risk. You need to be protected. That means, barriers, birth control, and some serious discussions with your doctor about the above.
Discussions with your bf also!

You are a virgin if your hymen is intact with the normal small opening. You can be examined by a doctor or by any informed person to see whether or not you are a virgin. "Hymen reconstructions surgery" is nonsense, practices occasionally in Japan and elsewhere in Asia. It would be hard to find a physician in America or Europe who would do it. Any qualified person who examined a woman who had had this surgery would be able to distinguish the fake from a real hymen. Insertion of a penis, with or without a condom or a piece of underwear, will rupture the hymen. A tampon can also do so. In many cultures, girl who are virgins avoid using tampons and avoid any activity that could rupture the hymen.
Ok this is the end all be all of this thread a hymen shows innocence in a lot of girls yes, but some girls who do gymnastics can break their hymen doing splits and such, but they are still innocent. Virginity is basically a term to say you did not have intercourse you cannot become a virgin again after having sex and even if a Doctor restored your hymen you are not a virgin. When you have a penis inside of you at all sorry to say, but you are essentially unpure from then on and if you say have a slip up where your boyfriend pushes it in and you dont do anything ever again you are not a virgin and are required to tell your spouse that you are not. Chances are in todays society many of you will eventually lose it before marriage anyway if you go away to college, even flirting with the danger of having a boy rub it on you.
After a penis has come in contact with your vagina even if it is just rubbing there is a chance the guy will pre-cum in you and then you can get an STD that is the most worrying thing in todays society. Get tested 1 year after the incident and be sure you are clean then when you tell your spouse you can assure him you are clean if you haven't done anything, but you have to tell him you aren't a virgin if the penis has been inside of you at all. Sorry to disappoint some of you.

A broken hymen doesnt mean you lost your virginity at all. Alot of girls, through accidents, just by their period, or any activity break their hymen. You lost your virginity if a boy's penis enters your vagina, even the smallest bit.
