Weight loss from smoking - I assume - happens from stress relief; stress is a common road block for most when trying to lose weight.

Another reason could be they are getting enough calories. When the body actually gets enough calories for their activity level could speed up their metabolism and help drop some pounds -though eating junkie food will catch up to their metabolism and in the long run do more damage

I don't agree. It just happened to you, when I was a regular smoker I was eating all that sh*t and didn't gain a pound.

Its obviously different for different people so most likely has to do with your genetics & SNP variations. I've been a multiple time a day smoker for the past 6 mos and have put on 20lbs. I stopped smoking 4 days ago to try and get my tolerance down a bit & have lost 6lbs so far. Yes you read that right 6lbs in 4 days. I simply don't have the appetite that I did on weed. I would smoke all day & eat all day before, now I only think about eating when my stomach is grumbling. The first day of no weed, I didn't even think about eating until 3pm (having been up since 7am). I can't quit weed for good cuz I love it but I def need to do something about the wt gain before it gets completely out of control. Also, I think wt gain or loss depends on strain - strains with high THCV will make u lose/help regulate blood sugar, alot of people says it helps them lose wt as well.

It's involve many catechlamines which makes you free more fats to the blood and burn fats more than normal state, smoking pot while diet can get you to hypoglycemia (low sugar)

So I was really curious, because I know people that have herpes, unfortunately and are everyday heavy smokers, and never show any signs on their faces, (no punt intended). Anywho I was looking up "does thc heal herpes?" Then I saw in my reading, it suppresses the inflammation of the virus and could "possibly" heal it. So my point with all this is, if it could do that, and the oil is doing wonders for people with seizures, who is to say weed doesn't help you in the aspect of metabolism. I say do a little bit more testing and get the proof. We all know weed is great no need to amp stuff up. Personal experience I can understand but scientific proof is just a word. Scientific proof isnt proof until it's proof.

This was wrong if you smoke and workout you will gain weight because muscle weights more than fat and weed eats at fat cells that's y u get the munchies

I had stopped smoking pot for a few months and i noticed myself gaining weight. I then decided to smoke pot again. Only a few times a week. I have since then lost thirteen pounds and i feel great!!

I have been smoking weed for the past 5 years and yes it does make you lose weight and it also helps putting on weight. it all depends on your eating habits. I have fast metabolism and since I smoke weed however much I eat I still don't get fat. a blessing and a bad thing since I have been trying to put in weight and it's difficult. though I have remained the same in terms of physical fitness and health none has detoriated . and about hunger u eat whenever you are hungry and take a multivitamin that'd be all.
