I've smoked weed since I'm year 10 of school. What I've noticed was at first I gained weight due to munchies and always feeling hungry but after constant use around 2/3 grams a day over ten years I've lost a lot of weight. I used to be 15 stone but now I am 12 stone and have difficulty gaining weight. My best is due to over long use you stop eating at regular times as you would have before weed also your appetite is suppressed after long use.
You become lazy wake up skip breakfast have a smal bite and usually only get properly hungry after a spliff where you would normally eat a whole table full instead of eating regularly over the causing a Calorie deficit.

My guess from personal experience

Tests show pot smokers have lower BMIs better insulin levels and have better waistline measurements then people who arent. Considering you're trying to mock the person above you, I would've researched what you stated before commenting, no studies can prove what marijuana does to your metabolism but yeah ahaha it does have an effect. So yeah, pot smokers aren't more likely to gain weight with avid use, gaining weight in association with pot would only link in to people who smoke occasionally and still get bad munchies.

I know the answere is vague. But I use it for sleeping. I have insomnia.
Pot works for me.I don't get hungry til morning. I don't waste my time during the day. You won't get any straight answeres until the FEDERAL government is on board with this whole marijuana thing.

I have to disagree with the first response. I've smoked for two years. I experienced multiple traumas the years leading up to that and I couldn't even recognize myself as a human being anymore because of my PTSD and anxiety levels.. Smoking has drastically improved my life in almost every area. I don't have the same anxieties as I had before smoking. I'm not as tense, stressed, or exhausted as I was before I started smoking. I've lost weight because smoking before working out is great. You're not as bored, tired, and you don't constantly think about quitting whatever workout you're doing because you're never bored if you smoke before working out. And with it decreasing my stress level by a million percent, literally only smoking a bowl every night and every once in a while before working out.. I don't eat as much and I don't feel the need to eat bad foods unless I'm really really stoned. Which usually I smoke small amounts so that doesn't happen. I actually feel great when I smoke. Happier, less worried, less stressed, and my life has improved by a million percent because I can actually function without having to take pills that make me feel like a zombie to control my anxiety. My credit score two years ago was like 380. Its now 740. My anxiety used to spin me into major depressions and I couldn't get out of bed for days and I couldn't think about anything that stressed me out without having a panic attack. Weed is a god send for me. And I definitely don't abuse it. As I said... Smoke a bowl before going to sleep (major sleeping issues, I sleepwalk, and have sleep poralysis) it helps me sleep through the night peacefully without having flashbacks. So id say if it helped with all of that for me... I'm sure it does for other people too. Allni suggest is to be careful when yo first start smoking because munchies are out of control. Smoke small small amounts initially if you don't already smoke.

Feel your heartbeat after smoking weed, its way faster, meaning your body is working a hell of alot harder. Im 6 foot 2 and only weighed 145lbs when i started smoking regularly, even with munchies went down to 130 in only 6 months.

From my personal experiwmce I'd say it makes you lose weight

Wrong, smokers tend to have a smaller waist line to those who don't smoke.

"I recently ran across some interesting research into marijuana and health. Anyone who’s gotten high has probably experienced the munchies, and you’d think that side effect would make pot-smokers more overweight. It turns out that the opposite is true, though researchers aren’t completely sure why this is. They did find that pot-smokers had healthier insulin levels, and since insulin helps regulate body weight, they theorize that this is part of what’s going on with these results.

What I found interesting was that even past users – people who had not smoked pot in 30 days or more – had lower insulin levels. Current and past marijuana users also had a lower body mass index, smaller waists, and higher levels of HDL (the good type of cholesterol) than people who had never smoked pot."
