I see they have double, single injection and what's called B Comp shots. They replace my double shot with B Comp shot. I am littlebit worried about this because I don't feel that B comp has enough B6 or B12 to help me loose the weight.

Does anyone know about this B comp shot?

The DIN of the B-injectibles are 0224215 and 00521515. It's no big secret - if you need to see if it's covered by your drug plan you can just call the clinic they will give you the DINs. No snake oil, but if you need something more specific, there they are - go look 'em up.

I am a returning patient. I used to weight about 150lb and lost 30 pounds in 4 month. Yes. it's almost impossible to stay on the strict diet the whole time. And Yes. some of the nurses in the clinic are real bit***s. They are fat and ignorant. however, there are those who really tries to help you. The nurses who are actually on the diet is great! They understand....

I cheat once in a while and surprisingly it helps. I kinda test myself to see if I can cheat small portion and try to get back to strict diet right away. Also, you become aware of 'BAD FOOD' after getting off the diet...

Only thing I ask of those bitchy nurses is, "Relax.. i pay for this diet. I pay the consequence. so, shut the hell up and do your job." As far as kicking off the patient from the plan... I think they can be sued for fraud if they do that...

Just be honest to the nurses. If they don't understand the fact that you had hard time at the Chrismas Party and had a couple of M&M's, complain.... Dr.B clinic definitely needs improvement on their staff policies... Just like all the other businesses, if customer is not happy, your business goes down.

I used to work at Dr. Bernstein's and I want to set some things straight. People talk about getting kicked off the program for missing doctor appointments or going on a vacation or whatever... this is not true. The protocol is basically the following:

- The staff calculates how much weight is lost in 3 months, but only calculate the weeks that the patient actually attends the clinic so vacations dont count.
- if the weight loss is less than 1 lb per week the patient must sign a contract to continue
- the contract states that the patient will pre-plan their diet and will lose atleast 6 lbs in one month
- if the patient loses less than 6 lbs in one month they are put on a different contract which is a little more strict and requires that the patient attend the clinic 3 times a week and lose atleast 1.5 lbs a week
- the weight loss is assessed every week and patients are allowed 3 "misses" of these goals
- If there are 3 misses, there is yet another contract which is very strict in that the patient must follow the diet 100% for 8 weeks and lose 2 lbs a week, this includes seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. Just like any other doctors office you must reschedule your appt if you have to miss it.
- If this agreement is not met, then the patient will be discontinued, but as long as there are no behavioral issues or special circumstances, these patients may start the diet again.

Obviously if a patient is unable to lose weight on the diet, this diet may not be right for them. The agreements are to help keep the patients accountable. If all we were concerned about was money why wouldn't we just let patients continue to spend their money and not lose weight?

This diet is very successful if you are motivated. It is not the fault of the diet if you quit the diet and start eating the same as you used to. If you just follow the diet and then do the maintenance program, you will have great results. We have so many success stories, and we all want to help.

I am currently on Dr. Bernstein diet. I just started exactly two weeks ago.
They set you up with a two-weeks goal. I've started with 140.08 lbs.
My mid-term goal was to reach 132 lbs by yesterday. I missed it. I am now weighing 135.02 lbs and I know why.
Last saturday was my son's first birthday.
We prepared big fatty meals. A lot of meat balls, barbeque chicken, fried plantain, steaks, donuts, and so forth.
I tried hard not to touch the fatty stuff but that's all I could not stay away from. The fried plantain and the donuts were fantastic. I ate exactly what they told me not to. I did not touch a single vegetable. One thing I listened to is that i did not have any alcohol.
I think this diet works.
And the people who complain about the fruits they can't eat or whatever, are just terrible complainers. How much fruits do you need? I think two fruits serving should be enough for anyone.
It is hard not to eat any carb when you grew up eating bread, cakes, rice, potatoes, oily stuff. All those things are very tasty but bad for you.
It took me about 2 months of research before I decided to go on the dr. bernstein diet. Do your research before starting instead of complaining when you and only you fail.
I told the nurse all that I've eaten on the weekend. She is skinny and beautiful and she was not mean. She only told me not to eat fruits for two days so I can go back on ketosis. Why should I complain when I know I did not follow the instructions?
She did not even dwell on what I did. She gently told me that we should try to get me back on ketosis : no fruit for two days. It is not a punishment, it is for me to get back on ketosis.
My final goal is to weigh 117-120 lbs.
It was supposed to take me a month but I guess it will be a little more than that.
I am not weak or anything. I get hungry sometimes, but i can handle that. I know what I want and wish i will get there.
The only main problem on this diet is MONEY. I paid 600$ for 4 weeks with tears on my eyes. Plus the consultation fees which was 300 and something.

I am currently trying out the dr b diet, I will continue a few weeks and if my headaches, sleep deprivation and bad moods do not subside I will be quitting. I have only been doing it for almost a week, I have cheated only once and that was this morn. 2 crackers with a tiny amount of peanut butter, if this will be noticed or get me in trouble, oh well, I'm paying good money. When I told the nurses yesterday about my headaches they did not reply, so here I am this morning miserable, with a pounder that is upsetting my stomach so I ate 2 damn crackers.... what a bad girl. All the nurses have been nice and kind to me so far I guess we will see tomorrow if they realize my indescretion.
I do have to play devils advocate though, yes the diet is strict, and yes I am sick to death of vegetables, probably won't eat another in my life but as my mother told me "it hurts to be beautiful" and it is hurting. at least most the time.
if or if this does not shed the 20 lbs I want off, I will say,,,, I keep hearing alot of people saying that it is dr recognized and even referred. In my experience I beg to differ. MY doc didn't like it, I am doing it anyway. My insurance plan won't recognize or cover any of it, I am doin it anyway. Sometimes we just have to admit we are vain and want a quick fix. Summer is done, and so is the everyday bbq and drinks, so hopefully after starving myself, and YOU are starving when your body starts to live off itself. doing things more moderately afterward will help keep it off.
does any one know why there is absolutely no alcohol allowed, I didn't think all were high carb or sugar?
I think my stomach muscle itself has shrunk, because its true that I am not as hungry as before, and can go longer without food. I don't think even at this point I'd want a dinner plat of pasta and garlic bread and desert, I think I would explode, maybe half. LOL

today, I will let you know the one most apparent transfermation, is my energy. I went to the gymn last night and lasted 22 min on the ecliptic machine, my friend only lasted 6 min. then I did the bikes for 20 and speed walked laps for 30 min. I was surprised. AND I FEEL great this morn.
even if I come off the diet soon I am going to buy b6 and b12 suppliments, keep taking pottasium and one a day. I feel like if I eat really strickt morn and lunch and have a good wholesome, but not giant dinner, excersize and think positive I don't need dr b for too long. but I'll be safe for now, as 20lbs is 20lbs. LOL
by the way take a naked picture of yourself post it in your bedroom. look at it each morn and YOU WILL BE MOTIVATED!!! maybe depressed too but suck it up. I have.

ok, I am a bad a bad girl. I drank a few beers on Friday with my girlfriends. I was good with the food part all weekend though. Damn, I wander if I am gonna be up the creek today. I wander if it took me out of this "kitosis" thing. let you know tomorrow.
I know it costs so much money and I should not be fooling around, but I can be weak I guess. it is soooo strenuous.
I'm hearing that no matter what I will be gaining it all back anyway. we will see.

If you are cheating and not obeying the rules and want to fork out all that money - STOP COMPLAINING

No one forced you to get put on the extra fat; no one is forcing you to follow this diet. You have made a choice - STOP COMPLAINING!!

If you lose the weight and go back to eating 4 donuts and a double double coffee everyday, you have no right to complain about the weight gain.........

As with any diet it up to you what you put in your mouth before, during and after the diet is over. STOP BLAIMING everyone, everything BUT yourself.

Sorry to sound harsh, but come on.........

oh please you have no idea, I am not big, just vain. I am doing this as a journal, if you read it all you would see that. Im not complaining, Im observing and comparing all the horror stories to real life. YOU must work for them.
and just like you say I AM PAYING, not you.. 8-| .. As for OBEYING, what a joke, do I sound like I am in kidergarden, ever heard of SECRET shoppers or surveys. Its my right and job to test out whatever products and services are made available to the public and to their purse.

anyhow, to everyone else before the bernstein staff decided to intervene, I would like to say 2 more lbs off. They have also updated alot of what you can eat, go to their website and you WIll find alot of new things that are not in the book. Not paying mind to the last comment from their staff, this week we will see, with NO cheating what happens to me.
by the way still ketosis.

I'm on the Dr. B diet - started in mid August, so for about 6 weeks now. I have lost 21 lbs (started at 186.8, currently 165.8) and I have not yet cheated on the diet. I've never been on a diet before - this is my first. It's strict and difficult, but I'm not hungry and I occasionally get frustrated because the weight loss is not faster. The first week was really tough - especially the first 2 days. I had major headaches and very little energy. By day 3 I was feeling a bit better.. and by the end of the week I had more energy than I knew what to do with.

You really have to be creative with the food because if you're not it gets boring. I don't mind eating apples, oranges and canteloupe as my main sources of fruit - but sometimes I really want a banana - not craving.. just want. :-)

I've missed two of three goals by .4 lbs and 1.2 lbs respectively, but have found the staff to be very supportive so far. I'm signed up for another month - hopefully I'll be another 20lbs less, but the weight loss does slow down after the first month and you must exercise to keep your metabolism up and of course, stay healthy :-)
