My girlfriend is getting fatter after she falls asleep after eating a meal. I try to get her to walk, but she won't do it and this information does not help me.

Proper weight should be maintained with a good diet and exercise.. Walking is not really going to help much. Power Walking on the other hand is more effective at burning calories for those who can not or do not wish to run.
If she falls asleep after eating, okay. Encourage her to do some type of exercise after waking up.
