Electric shock feeling thru whole body

It's going to be ok. I'm 33 and at 12:03 I had a shock it hurt really bad. I know your not crazy. I've been under a butt load of stress. We just have to pray to Jehovah God and ask him to help us and he will. He's already doing that helping us. He says in the bible you put him first and all these other things will be added. He didn't promise us riches but he did promise to give us what we needed.

Oh yeah I woke up with migraines headache then about 1p.m. I felt shocks through my lower back and ab and about 4 p.m. I jerks from more shocks , feeling like my body is out of alignment.

I've had the shocking zapping symptoms and A few years back I remember receiving steroids when I was sick. I felt amazing! I have been researching this and trying to find any answers to these strange symptoms. I plan on going to see a physician but I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy! I plan on asking for steroids and seeing if I notice a difference. I do know that while researching I have found out that MS patients receive IV steroids and it helps. I'm not saying I feel like I have MS but maybe some kind of inflammatory disease and that's why the steroids helped. Good luck to you all. Hoping to find some answers soon!

hi, have you tried a chiropractor? A pinched nerve in your neck can cause that.

I just took myself off paxil as well, I was only on it for 6 months and tapered off the right way and the zaps are still here daily, it's been 4 weeks now of this, any suggestions ?

I have AMPs (Amplified Musculo-skeletal Pain Syndrome), and after almost a year on effexor, Ive been having awful side effects like the thumping in my head and ears, quickened heart beat, fever for 2 months, prolonged menestration, etc. so, I'm almost off effexor now. I've had the shock sensation seems to go down my brain, heart, and spine. I'm so scared, it goes ever 10 seconds and almost makes me fall over when standing. I used to have it for short periods occasionally every other week randomly, I thought it was from low blood sugar with my diabetes (non diabetic for 3 months now- yay!) but today it started with high blood sugar. It makes sense that it's from the efexor. Idk if it's a side effect, if it's withdrawl, then I'm kinda screwed. Nice to know the connection to effexor though- makes me feel less crazy and panicky.

Whoever is reading this know that NO IT IS NOT CAUSED BY MEDS, I have not taken ANY meds in 4 years not even an aspirin (I'm 30 with no health problems), and I experience these very weird sensations too.. Do not listen to doctors.. find the answer in your faith

Feel same way for over a year. Doctors no help. Noone knows. I dont know how long i can deal. On gabapentin. Neck surgery did not help. Tested for diabetes. Emg gor neuropathy etc... All neg waiting for results on lyme but dont know how to read results so wait for doc. Praying healers. No relief

I have had terrible and sometimes extreme jolts of my head with sometimes my arm will do it same time as head. They never go away. But I can go a day with only a couple and because I have had this for 25 0r 30 yrs I can control them a bit so they are not as noticeable. Some times I will swear when I am alone or just my wife around. I believe for me it was drugs which I did a lot of from the middle 60;s till the early 80's .Main lining Speed was my drug of choice. I believe that is the culprit and due to the type of drug speed was. I believe got some wires crossed and have had no luck with medical folks and counselling .So I have no other recourse but to accept it which I did 15 yrs. ago .As annoying as it is I find it better now that I don't fight it anymore. I will say sometimes it is a thought usually something that I did that was bad or maybe embarrassing could be recent or something I did twenty or thirty years ago .Sometimes just some minor incident .But that is only sometimes and it could also be a horrible as in a flash of seeing my Son or Daughter or Wife in a accident all mangled and bloodied. It would be a split second then almost simultaneously a split second head or waist up spasm or jolt like I was hit by lighting .Those are the worst one .I guess they are different from what I have read here, but not that much different. Like I said not all have hallucination's only a few yrs ago it was quite a few now not many. I have gone on far to long sorry. So that is it . This is the first time I have ever publicly said anything it felt good.

I am having them a lot and when you tell doctor they you are crazy. My started when I started taking Paxil. Now I'm probably going to be like this the rest of my life.

I don't know. I've been on lexapro with no problem for a few years now. But recently started taking topamax for weight loss. I heard it is also for migraines and seizures. But today I have been having those electrifying things going thru me off and on and it's starting to scare me and make me really really depressed. And all shakes inside.

I believe you, the reason is because I have the same feelings. I have alot of stress an also have heart an kidney disease. So to ask, has your doctors come up with any reason for the condition are still searching.

Hello, As I'm reading this, you describe perfectly how I feel at this moment. It all started when I felt really dizzy for about a week and then for a year I have experience electrical shock sensations all over my body and head every day. It's horrible and frustrating.
