I am considering the procedure but want to know if there is any known side-effects. It scares me but i also am pretty sure am done having children, and a lot birth controls have bad side-effects for me. My last baby i got pregnant while on the pill. Let me know how you've been since, as i see its been over a year since you wrote this on the wall.

An IUD caused me to have sever anxiety and panic attacks!!! I would never recommend them!!!

Definitely the right decision by doctors. I just went through a ruptured Fallopian tube due to ectopic pregnancy.. it was a neat death experience. Loss of 2.5 litres of blood due to internal bleeding, emergency helicopter flight and emergency surgery. Scariest time of my life.

I had my tubes removed during my c section 3.5 months ago. I thought it was the best thing for me since I just give birth to my 4 th baby. However, if I can go back to time and known how the removal affected me physically and hormonal irregularities I would of never done it. I’m literally suffering all month long. I feel like out of a 30 day month cycle I am bleeding 20 days out of he month. I also feel like I’m always moody and sick. I’m pms ing 20-25 days out of the month. I feel horrible. My hormones are out of control. Hope this helps

I opted for tubal removal for birth control reasons and since it has been discovered that many ovarian cancers start in the tubes i decided to remove instead of just tie. Everything I researched about it said it was safe. No side effects. It was HELL for me. The surgery and recovery were no problem. A few months afterward, I started to have unexplained symptoms which continued to get worse for a year. They were: hair loss, fatigue/exhaustion, loss of libido, weight gain, memory issues, balance problems. I went back to my ob/gyn. She ran tests and concluded that I was very healthy. It wasn't until a yar later that I found a Dr who believed what I was saying about my symptoms since the surgery. He has put me on bio-identical hormone replacement and it has changed my life. I am now receiving testosterone only. There is no real explanation for it since according to tests I am not peri-menopausal or menopausal. It has help with everything except weight gain. I continue to gain weight. I am up 20-25lbs since the surgery. I went from having a six pack and being in the best shape of my life to feeling like a fat, uncomfortable slob. If I knew then what I know now, I never would of had the surgery.

Having your fallopian tubes removed with or without your uterus should not speed up menopause, unless your ovaries were removed with them. After removal of the uterus and fallopian tubes, a women's periods stop. However, the hormones that cause a woman's normal cycle continue to flux as they would when the uterus was present.

Hi i to had essure for 3 years.. with all the symptoms a lot of people get.. i had my tubes removed a few months ago as its the best thing i did the damage essure did some still remains.. please anyone dont get essure. Google it for yourselfs

I had a ruptured eptopic pregnancy and had a tube removed I fell pregnant very quick with my daughter not 15 months I was terrified when I found out I was pregnant again they keep a close eye on you and send you in for an early scan to make sure that baby is in the correct place.

i had an ectopic pregnancy in one tube so they removed it. while in there it was decided to take both fallopian tubes to ensure no more pregnancies. i regret getting the good tube removed. Since then, I began experiencing excruciating abdominal pain during menstrual cycles, until i had a Mirena IUD placed inside my uterus. Ive had the IUD for about 10 years, actually (2) because they last 5years. Once installed I immediately felt like a complete woman. The IUD actually controlled the pain; however, i have had constant spotting with this thing when i don't have consistent sexual encounters and now my nipples taste sour. It's a challenge....my recommendation, never ever remove anything that is not sick or causing harm to your body from your body!! But, if you have or have to get this type of procedure done and pain is an issue, try the IUD. It worked to control my pain.

It's been 3 months since I've had both of my tubes removed. The only real actual pain I had after was from the CO2 in my body, I would feel air bubbles and I had pain in my neck, shoulders, and back which ended up subsiding in exactly 2 weeks. The incisions healed fine and there wasn't any lower abdominal pain at first. In the last couple months I've realized that my cramps have gotten a lot worse before periods, I'm also more sensitive to temperatures and get really cold or really hot. Overall those are the only issues I have, I wouldn't take it back though, nothing like having sex with no worries!

I have had three live births and one miscarriage. Observed on early ultrasounds of each pregnancy was a cyst on my left ovary. This is a normal cyst that happens when the ovary sends out the egg, according to my Doctor. There’s a name for it I can’t remember, sorry. But my point is; the doctor said the cyst is on the ovary that sent the egg that resulted in the pregnancy. Meaning, in my 17 years of marriage, my 4 pregnancies were all the work of my left ovary, so also my left tube then. So with only one side doing the work, I have three beautiful children.

Yes, you can still get pregnant! I had my right side removed and I still got pregnant dear..
