I think I may have some kind of solution for a less severe case?
This sounds similar to what I’m feeling at the moment. I began to realise that I was feeling some sort of lump in my lower left torso when I was sitting in class at school or laying on my front on my phone, etc. It slowly developed into a larger lump that sometimes felt very hard and large and sometimes felt squishy and large or small. I found after a week or so that I could push it and it would literally disappear and come back on a full stomach or when I ‘really needed to go” for either. I thought that this was the cause and left it for a bit but the lump began to appear even when I wasn’t full or needing to go. I asked my parents to arrange a doctors appointment (thank the lord that healthcare is free over here because this would have been wasted money if not) and the doctors sent me for an ultrasound after feeling the lump. A few weeks later I had an appointment and the doctor couldn’t find anything. He said that it could potentially be a lipoma or a hernia and advised me to see my doctor yet again. Well, it’s been roughly a week since I’ve been to get an ultrasound and guess what- the lump is back! I am honestly so fed up but I think its nothing serious. If you are feeling an abdominal pain with a lump PLEASE ignore this! It could be something very serious like a hernia or a tumour but don’t panic, because it’s nothing too serious.
I hope this helped some people! :)
You described almost word by word what I've had for the past two years. Did you find out what it was/is?
"Wandering Rib Syndrome" google it. Have the same issue. It's sometimes caused by the bottom three ribs moving independently, due to the fact that there is little cartilage holding them in place. It feels incomfortable and alien, but after figuring out the source it bothers me less and less.
Just below my right rib cage I'll get a really painful cramp that you can see while it's happening. It's a very painful burning sensation, and will happen sometimes when I'm doing something where I have to flex my abs. Just driving my truck today I could feel it trying to come on, and if I straighten my back and move a bit where I'm not flexing it will often go away without a full blown cramp. I drank heavily for years but completely quit a year ago. I'm 54, and think I had this thing long before I ever drank alcohol. My dad had these same cramps in his abdomen too, but we thought it was due to his dialysis. Doctor's have told me there's nothing there to cramp, but that's clearly wrong. I'm 5'10" and have lost all of the excess weight I had put on, going from the 180s to 162. I've just lived with it, but the past couple of weeks It's been more frequent. I don't think it's something that's going to kill me, but I would really like to know what it is.
