Even if you have experienced pregnancy, perhaps you were one of the lucky ones that didn't have to rush to the bathroom when you didn't look pregnant at all.
Of course you can be one week pregnant. Implantation of the egg occurs 6-9 days after fertilization. So more or less, one week. Once implantation occurs, a pregnancy test can pick up the "pregnancy hormone" - therefore, you can have a positive pregnancy test. This would be BEFORE your missed period, approximately 5 days to be exact, as there are 14 days from ovulation to your period. With the innovations in home pregnancy testing, they can now detect the pregnancy hormone before your missed period. This is so women that are actively trying to conceive can know as soon as possible if they were successful at the time of their last ovulation. The moment you conceive, you are NOT already 2 weeks pregnant. That is a stupidly ridiculous statement. Conception = pregnancy. How can you have one before the other?

Are you TRYING to say that the moment you know you're pregnant, you're already two weeks along? Or are you trying to calculate due date? Why would you count back to the first day of your last period? You're certainly not pregnant until your egg is fertilized, and that's not going to happen before you ovulate. You will ovulate anywhere from 11-21 days after the first day of your period.
