My right ear sweats profusely, I believe because I only sleep on my right. 11 years ago I was cleaning my left ear when I though I pulled the qtip out and ended shoving it into past my inner ear and bones. I am completely deaf and get vertigo very easily. So now I sleep on my right ear and itit always seems to be sweaty. Has anyone tried ear candles to help with their ear wax or sweats maybe caused by ear wax,if that even why it's so sweaty. Thanks Jen,sebastian , Fl usa

I have fluid issues too. I think it's lymph fluid. There's a lymph gland in your face, it's supposed to drain through your eustachian tubes into the throat. If your eustachian tubes don't function properly...Funny, doctor was very condescending to me and acted like I was making it up when I told him fluid is coming out, he said it could only happen if my ear drum was ruptured. Lymph is clear and runs constantly. I know this because I had surgery on a lymph gland in my armpit a few years ago, it drained for weeks and the fluid looked the same. It's not an infection, and antibiotics won't help. It's a structural issue that doctors are unwilling to even recognize is there let alone try to fix. If you want to try something new, look up oil pulling. I have chronic gingivitis, but only on the upper right side, same side where my ear leaks. I don't think it's true gingivitis. It has never spread, and my teeth in that area don't even have cavities. It only just recently occurred to me that it might just be edema, from lymph backing up there too. The upper teeth are right below the eustachian tubes. I tried oil pulling ( there are tons of articles about this, just google it and read) for my teeth, because I thought it was from gum disease, but then discovered that it made my ear better too. The oil is a very strong anti inflammatory, now everything drains better. If you decide to try it, make sure you get good quality coconut oil.

Seborrheic dermatitis of the inner ear can cause leakage of clear or cloudy fluid. My doc suggested to let my dandruff shampoo run over my ears and to use olive oil to keep the skin soft. It feels weird to put olive oil in your ear, but it seems to help a bit. I also try not to clean them or scratch them too much even though I really want to! Seems like maybe it is some type of yeast growth?

Only some cases are candida. Mine were evaluated, and yeast was not present, yet I still have the wetness and itch. I believe what Alma says must be true.

I've had issues for quite a few years now. I tried all natural ear candles. They definitely helped release pressure and I could hear better, but ever since then my ears drain a clear fluid constantly. With that, if I don't mess with them, they start to get flaky and still leak fluid.

Hello Everyone.

I was suddenly plagued with a similar condition within the last two months. I am 44 and this is the first time that I had ever had any kind of irregular problems with my ears. I considered every option, head injury, infection, ear drum rupture, spinal problems. I tried several remedies and some of them would work for a day or two. I was having to coat my ears twice a day with A&D ointment or and anit-biotic. There were several temporary fixes but nothing lasted more than 1 day or the next time I went to sleep.

I finally broke down and went to a doctor. I suggested that I was having an allergic reaction to something in my ears. He prescribed Prednisone for me, which I was familiar with and have used in the past for poison oak. Prednisone knocked out the draining that same day. After running the full cycle, it has not returned.

I bleached everything in my home and office, because there was no way to find out what 1 thing I was having a reaction to. I hope this helps. My Dr. told me that even if the pills had not worked, he would have sent me to an allergist to see exactly what it is that I react to. Maybe a solution is not as far away for everyone as we feared. Good luck, I hope you conquer your ailments.

White vinegar is wrong. Use apple cider vinegar! It helps. or you can use 1/2 alcohol 1/2 cider venegar. I have tried everything and this is the only thing that helps but does not cure!

Sounds like vestibular migraine disorder. I have it. Go to a neurotologist/otologist. Specialized ENT. or to a neurologist.

I have had this problem for about 15 years: itchy, runny and then scaly buildup in my ears. One time it was so bad that it did ooze out the back of my ear. I tried every drop possible. I see and ENT several time a year - and all i get is a lecture on not using q-tips. He sees nothing wrong. I am glad he sees nothing wrong, and I don't own q-tips, but the problems persists. A research article from 2005 says "If the patient has exhausted all possible relieving scratchers,
advise him instead to put his/her elbow into the ear, which if he ever succeeds, would definitely prevent injuring the ear. Sympathetic communications and reassurance benefit the
patient significantly." THANKS A LOT. I was treated with prednisone 7 years ago when I had a very bad case of poison ivy, and the problem cleared up completely for 3 years. Then it came back worse than before. I decided that it is two separate issues. One is the moistness in the ear. The other is the fissures in the tissues from touching and scratching. A little like pruritis ani (itchy bum). All of the oils and petroleum products that I tried were bad. The area needs to stay drier, yet coated some way to prevent the fluid from sticking and itching. I had been using a steroid cream - the only thing that gave me relief - but the time in between uses increased so much that I had to go cold turkey. I have not used a steroid cream for 2 months. I am trying prutitis ani treatments with some favorable results. Does not cure the moisture - but allays the symptoms. I use pranicure which is a cream that be purchased only online. It is not oily or greasy - has some calamine lotion in it, and other seemingly good products (I do not want petroleum or mineral oil). Only problem to me is that it has aluminum in it and I don't want to put so much of it near my brain. I also use another cream that is similar - similar feel, color and assistance - calmoseptine. That can be purchased in a drug store or online. I would love to hear how other people have found some relief.

First off...typing in all capital letters implies you are shouting at the reader and lacks electronic etiquette. Try contacting a neurologist.
