Me also. It's been about 3 years for me also. No wax, I clean my ears 2x daily. I use to think it was water in my ears from the showers, however I've tried to be very careful during showers, while cleaning my ears. I even tried not cleaning my ears for 2 days, in the shower, hoping it would help. However, no luck, it still leaked. Leaks out mostly at night. Right ear more than the left. However, the left is progressively getting worse. I have to get up in the middle of the night and use a Q - tip, to get relief. It's annoying. It has begun to leak during the day as well. Always clear, like water. I have no other symptom. My hearing is fine. I'm getting very concerned.

I've had this same problem for approximately 3 years. Both ears seem to "leak" there is not fowl smell but stickiness and crusted itchy dryness. About 12 years ago I had to get a "shot" in by back L4 & L5 due to them both being herniated. Would the ear leakage have anything to do with or be a side effect of the steroid/analgesic meds injected into my spine? As others have previously stated, none of my doctors have come up with any answers that I am happy with or make sense. I've been told it is eczema and I've been told that my sinus' are leaking into my ears. I have always had sinus problems since my wisdom teeth were removed abt 20 years ago, but these are new symptoms. I have bought new pillows, new sheets, new hair brushes, new shampoos & conditioners, soaps, curling irons, hairdryers, etc and nothing makes any difference. Therfore I cannot believe this is an allergy. I've also gone to an allergist who has said that I don't have any allergies. What are we all missing so called Doctors??? Does anyone have a clue?? Is there anyone who will take these symptoms seriously enough to look into this?

One more thing. If we are all on this website and we all have the same complaints, don't you think it is time for someone to take a closer look at the symptoms and help us deal with/solve it once & for all? This isn't fun, constantly woken up by the sound of your ears popping. Just like when your swimming & the water gets stuck. To any doctors who are reading this, this isn't a joke. Help us already.

You may have cholesteatoma. Very important for that to be removed.

I have had the same issue every since the smoke from the BC fires blew down so heavy this way last summer. Sore, swell, itch. Just runs, both ears. ENT and regular Drs are still working on figuring it out, I guess. They have me doing a night guard, and I have had a tube, also because of the fluid building in behind the ear drums too. Ugh. It is so miserable. Mine is Claire's again as I write.

Same EXACT thing happens to me. It's so annoying but in my particular case, I'm not concerned. I just hate the way it tickles my ear canals at night. I don't get water in my ears, either. I won't even swim anymore.

Hey I have been having the same problem. My ears will itch. And they will ooze fluid a little bit. I constantly have to keep my ears dry and relieve the itch with a q-tip. I went to an ENT and was diagnosed with having eczema in my ears. They used a small suction thingy to suck all the moisture and fluid that is around my eardrum to relieve some of the drainage. They prescribed me Ciprodex a ear drop that REALLY worked and stopped the itching and flakiness and drainage. But as soon as you stop using it.. it wears off and your ear starts back itching. They also prescribed some moisturizing ear drops as well to help with the dryness when my ear has a outbreak moment. But it may be eczema you have like me.
