Hi there, your post caught my eye and I know this was written over a year ago but I'm taking the chance that you'll read this. I'm a recovering heroin addict, currently taking methadone. I was clean for about a year and a half 2 years ago but unfortunately relapsed. But I know how I managed to quit before and I can only tell you, get on methadone! It will be the stepping stone for you to leave you life of addiction behind you. It allows you to focus on something other than trying to find drugs to not get sick. It allows you to focus on finding a job, working on relationships and stabilizing yourself. And once you're stable on methadone, taper off by 2mg every 2 weeks. It's a slow process, but I found it's the only way to get clean. Going clean turkey just leaves room for cravings to build. I wish you all the best and I hope you can beat this!
In jail they usually give addicts Valium for nerves, pepto bismol for diahrea and vomiting, tramadol and extra strength Tylenol for the pain.
hello , im charlotte, im in same situation i have a 3 year old daughter im currently on 95ml of methadone daily due to an old drug habbit, ive tried to get pregnant for a year now and no luck whatsoever and ive got a lovely stable partner, i was on methadone before i fell pregnant but i then had a period of 3 months of being off methadone and thats when i fell pregnant , my periods have been all over place for years now , but im now on my 3rd day of no methadone as i really do want to have a baby and its what my partner wants too,, i was just wondering if anyone has any experience like me ??
What if me and my partner are both of low dose of meth? Can we get pregnant! Av been told we cany as it makes him infertile

Yes NEVER stop methadone while you are pregnant if you are taking it illegally then consult a doctor or a methadone clinic right away or you could have your child taken away from you.

I am trying to conceive a baby. I only take about 5-10 mgs of methadone a day. Can this affect me from getting pregnant? And how bad will this be for the fetus?
