I had them when i was younger, it never scared me cause i knew i hadnt done anything to contract them from anywhere. They go away after a while.

OMG yeah i Have them and i'm fourteen and i was freaked out about them until i read this, FEW i hope they dissapear.
My whole life was complete misery. I have been treated like Sh*** for no reason by my parents, people, backstabbed by "friends" and now i got this bull*** fodyce spots. How fast did they appear??
I went to the doctor before for a burst blood vessel on myself. Now i had one big (half the size of a dime) and 2 or 3 little ones on my scrotum. Only noticed them this morning. I have not been sexually active in over 6 months.

I first noticed I had these spots when I was about 15, I went to the doctor at 16 when I got my first steady girlfriend. He just told me not to worry and that they were sweat glands. BIG HELP - when you are a kid you just worry so much that your mates will find out. Anyhow I dumped the girl and moved on - then a few years later I fell head over heals again and he was stunning - but I was too scared to sleep with her in case she found out - eventually she dumped me.
I then had a string of one night stands and a few relationships, none lasting more than a few months until I finally got married in my late twenties.
I am now in my late thirties !!! and I still have them. I only actually found out what they were called yesterday ! When I was a teenager over twenty years ago there was no Web to look it up on.

Please people, stop worrying! They are nothing to be concerned about, they are harmless, they really aren't that noticeable unless you are looking closely and, as a plus, they can actually make sex more pleasurable for the women (it's like having a ribbed condom on all the time!! :O)

mine aren't purple or red, they are very small and white dots all over the bottom of my shaft and my scrotum, once in a blue moon one gets big and red and leaks small amounts of blood, i'm nervous and thinking it may be something else, i've had it since i was 17, i am 24 now and too terrified to go to the doctor, please someone help and tell me this is fordyce's and not something more terrible, it's made me depressed and miserable to whole time, nearly ruining my life

it was hard enough goin to see him n talk about it, neva mind going the otha side of town to see somebody.
