I agree. I want to run of the toilet but not prudent
I am now 71 and have had this symptom for 40 years. Used to be one hand down from thumb. NOW it is both hands thru all way to fingers. Extremely painful. I had a urologist give me a lecture about my talking about hand pain. It always comes. Years ago test wouldn't show any infection-two days later a test again and a very bad infection with urgency, pain and leakage. I at least now have a general Dr. that understands my history.
I just started having this shooting pain in my hands when I urinate. I'm 73 and never had it before. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Do I need to call my Dr. to find out what is going on?
I have the same problem if many of your posts, eg: when I get an UTI, everything I urinate during the infection, I have sharp pain going through my thumbs and index fingers. I never suffer this pain when I am well. I have never found an answer, and no one in the medical praction knows! maybe it's an neurological symptom!
I have had numerous UTIs in my 65 years and have one now. The associated pain in my arms and fingers when passing urine is almost as bad as the dysuria. You are not alone. This is the only time I get this pain
I also get numbness/pain in my arms and hands while urinating when I have kidney stones. I have four now and had two seven years ago. Both times I told the doctor about this and they never heard of this before. The pain only lasts while urinating then goes away soon after I am done.. Had a sonogram done on my kidneys yesterday and mentioned this to the tech hoping she had heard of this and for an explanation but she never heard of this before either. The only thing that comes to mind why this happens is that there is a nerve that runs down to our arms that is connected to the kidneys and urinary tract but I am no doctor
It is really painful for that short amount of time.....I just sit there thinking REALLY.
I don't think so but I am not a doctor person. I read that it has tio do with reflexology.....pressure ointment in your hands and feet......I don't usually go to holistic but look up a reloxolgy map on Google . I held the pressure thing for kidneys ...lol..and they are on your palm.m it is kind of interesting
That explains slot because like brandy in the same Wayne
My hands hurt a lot
My hands hurt a lot
I get severe pain in wrists agonising pain I'm talking here, it only happens when I have been holding on to pee ,as soon I have finished it passes . I find holding wrists whilst urinating helps , I get it in both wrists and a little into top of Palm .
I understand. Only those of us who get this can appreciate how much the pain hurts. So far no one has an answer either to fix it or why it happens.
Glad I'm not going mad my doctor looked at me like I was mad and said she never heard of it.
I also had pain my arms and hands when urinating. Scary as it was the first time ever. Turned out I have a UTI. I am 76 and also fibermyalgia. Hope this helps.
I, too, have been experiencing this. Anything to "cure" it? I have had 2 appointments with a urologist but no report on test yet. Do a Cystoscopy in another week.
I too asked my doctors and they too had a blank look on their face. The fuller the bladder the more painful it becomes. a friend of mine who is a nurse said it could possibly be toxins that cause this. X
