Interesting. I’m a 47 yo woman with no surgeries, no cancers, no fibromyalgia, no recent UTIs. For as long as I can remember, if I hold the urine too long I will get pain in my hands, arms, and sometimes legs or face. The longer I have been holding it, the greater the pain. After I finish, the pain releases. I have always assumed it was my body clenching to keep from accidentally releasing. I also assumed everyone had this! It never occurred to me that it is not common! I just googled today out of curiousity.
thanks Glenda,

I am 64 and over the past 4 years have had quite frequent water infections. I have now developed a sharp tingling that’s painful in my fingers of my right hand when passing urine, there must be some medical reason for it.

I am 51 and I get an ache in both palms at the end of urination when I have a UTI. It is concurrent with the spike in urethral pain. I don't remember having this happen when I was younger, but now it happens every time I have a UTI, which is more common during perimenopause.
There is a pain in my hands when urinating. I thought I was crazy. Now I know I am not alone. Thank you.
I also get a strange ache in my wrists and palms when I've held it too long and I urinate or have a UTI. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Never, never allow an MD to ignore a medical question you may have. Politely say something like, "excuse me Doc, I ask you a question and it appears you may have not understood or else you ignored me, which was it?" .
Remember, your Patient/MD relationship is a business relationship, either you or an insurance company are paying for the visit. If it's an insurance company paying then you, most likely, are still in a round about way paying, unless you are being seen on some type of welfare program, then the MD is still being paid for their time.I

I thought it was just me haha. Hands hurt when I really have to pee, and recently I got a tattoo removed on my leg, it was tatt2away, not laser and it's a big wound. Whenever I pee now my leg hurts and I can't make sense of it. No idea.
This exact thing happens to me it hurts to the bone in my hands and feels like they are swelling and they turn red but dont actually seems to swell. Cant even attempt to try and hold it because the pain in both bladder and hands is overwhelming amd sometimes lingers. Some days its tolerable and there will seems to be flares where its not.
I am kind of late to the party but I have a similar issue. The difference is the ache I feel isn't in my hands, it is in my right wrist. Has been an issue for years and no doc has any clue why.
I am also in the same boat as you but its usually predominantly my right hand underneath my thumb
I have the same pain. I also have very bad GERD. The pain in the joints of my had and fingers feels like acidic pain. Latic acid or something like that. My Dr. is an id**t only concerned with me taklng more test for cancer. All have been negative. Looking for a new Dr.
Reading SO many others who have had the SAME experience as I have experienced for just over 2 years. When urinating, near end, arms and hands cramp up as claws and fingers tingle. My jaw also clenches up. This lasts for 5-15 seconds, but only while urinating. No after effects. Two years ago after the first Covid vaccine I was very I’ll for a week, lost 20+ Pounds. This year had lung weakness after booster, which steroids and nebulizer has improved. The tingling with urinating has not changed. Note, it does not happen every time I urinate. I will start a log to try to figure out if it is a time of day, if I drank too much tea, or I waited too long.
