I did a search on wikipedia for "hydatid of Morgagni" and came up with the following link

*****

I think this is what everyone is describing. I've had the same thing; grain-like somewhat moveable mass at the top by the epididymis, acute pain (to the extent where I had to drop what I was doing and go to the ER). They didn't find anything. I took Neem leaf capsules and within a few days, most of the pain was gone. I've since had an ultrasound and had two doctors look at it (one was a urologist), and they didn't find anything wrong, not even an infection. At this point, I suspect it was either a natural growing pain or the testicular equivalent of a cramp. I would imagine the same could be said of anyone else with these two symptoms but still recommend a doctor's visit to be certain.

I have the same symptoms as many in this thread, and have noticed nobody is coming back and finishing their story! Scary! But let me add my voice to the chorus of NEGATIVE ultrasounds coming back with these symptoms. This is, of course, not to give anyone a false sense of security. Even without insurance, I was able to obtain an ultrasound on the cheap ... it just took some asking around and applications for help. Get an ultrasound for piece of mind.

Like some others, my ultrasound results came back with nothing even to say about the smallest lump. They are saying the bigger one is a hydrocele. I don't know if I buy it because my epididymis is so swollen. But what I do buy is the negative-for-cancer results. I've had the same wiggly, half-a-grain-of-rice (it hurt one day, too) lump for six months. I'm going to use a little poor-man's medical logic and say this: if the lump itself isn't growing, and if nothing on the ultrasound suggests it's growing in the other direction (inside the testicle), then whatever this mystery bump that so many seem to find close to their epididymis is not as scary as I thought it was. Like many, I was operating off the assumption that any lump that seems imbedded in the testicle itself is cancer. And this assumption still seems like a good bet in most cases, unfortunately. But there must be something that seems exactly like a tiny (super-tiny) lump on top of the testicle that sometimes just isn't cancer.

But GET AN ULTRASOUND. Don't chance it. Good luck to anyone with these frightening symptoms. Peace

I'm back to follow up on what I said before. I went to my doctor today and we discussed the ultra-sound results further. NOW, she says the little bitty hard lump on top of the testicle IS the hydrocele. I swore she said before that it was the big swollen whatzit that was a hydrocele.

She also mentioned that hydroceles are common alongside epididymitis. I don't know. It's a clinic doctor, very young. I don't have a great confidence in her. BUT, as I said before, the main thing I want readers to know is that I have a negative ultrasound reading for a small hard lump on top of my right testicle right beside the epididymis that DOES seem IMBEDDED. So... that might comfort some who, like me, have been under the impression that hard and imbedded equal 100% cancer. Of course a negative ultrasound is not a 100% thing, but I feel pretty good about it. TC is supposed to spread pretty fast, and I've had the same little specky-nodule thing for half a year now. If it grows I'll certainly go back again.

But, as I said before, GET AN ULTRASOUND if you have a lump. It's worth every penny for the piece of mind. Peace everybody. Good luck.

That thing is a Morgagni cyst or Morgagni’s hydatid. It is natural , non-cancerous. I have it too and I was to see a doctor. But only if is near to the upper part of testicle.

My name is Richard Lucas, I have had this same lump (tiny) on my right ball for over 10 years now. It is always very sensitive to the touch. REAL SENSiTIVE. When I give this small beast a little wiggle as someone else described, it sends a sharp pain into my lower abdomen. Mine is attached to my right ball. I did have this looked at MUCH when I first discovered this. Ultra Sounds etc. ect. Same as everyone else no Doctor knew anything or was concerned as I was. I only got the impression I was only looking for people to handle my balls. Different from all other people who have described this problem one said he developed this problem shortly after he was kicked in the balls. TRAMA! Bingo. I had a trauma to this are also and it appeared the same day and time as this trauma. This happened on the 4th of July when one of my home made Oxigen Satilene Ballon bombs went off directly next to me. This is a MASSIVE firecracker if you will I and many other people make on the 4th and New Years, using welding tanks. The amount of concussion this makes with only one balloon will blow a cap off your head some 20 feet away from. This 4th it was 8 balloons in one Heftey bag. My ball was totally black with blue in color. No real pain surprisingly at the time or I was more distracted by a blown out ear drum and my clothes looked like I was the Hulk that busted out of his clothes with my hair literally stuck straight up as if with a strong hair spray. ANYWAY It's not cancer and these SO CALLED doctors in America only it seems don't have ANY idea about this nor did they even mention this vein problem I only discovered today some 10 or 15 years later. Oh yes this happened to me in 1994. Or close to. It appears I need some sort of surgery to have this small lump removed. Mine feels like a oblong tiny bump, it moves no pain but DON'T push on it to much or it will wake up the dead with pain! I did ask the nurse about the fact I could see and she could see my nut was black but she simply asked if it had pain and I said I couldn't feel nothing at the time. Her reply, if no pain no worry. My reply, no pain was my worry! This did NOT make any sense as I just tried to blow both of my balls off.
QUESTION: Anyone out there know or think this could be surgically removed? My fear is cutting my cahoonie open could make this a chronic problem. Also, I'm a George Bush victim without insurance. Can this be simply removed as once in a great while while shifting around sitting down and or driving this tiny MONSTER is pinched and WOW, you have no idea the pain. And yes, I learned my lesson, well some 3 4ths of July later and 2 more near misses. Just for any readers entertainment purposes only, this home made fire cracker also blew out the windows in my shed and sent a concussion some 100 yards across the lake I was living on and moved my neighbors china around. The hospital thought I fell off a motor cycle with this plastic bag em-beded into my body making me look like a Zebra. I came, I saw, and I got blowed up!

hello everyone Im from the UK and My story so far is this..

Id say about 5 months ago i noticed a very hard pea sized lump right next to my epididymis on the left testicle, the left testicle also seems to have a fair amount of liquid in it as well.. now my first worry was actually the epididymis itself and the sperm cord connected to it (sorry i forget the name) these were swollen however not painful at all..

I went to see a doctor who told me of other possible symptoms I may have experienced such as a gathering in the bottom of the testicle sack that feels like "worms in a bag" I agreed that sometime I have experienced this athough only at the end of the day when im in the shower after work.. he explained that these are vains and this is common for them to sometimes appear swollen especially in an active person which I am.. however back to the lump.. he didnt say anthing but advised on an Ultrasound scan which I had today..

Im now waiting for the results however I did watch the san and the pictures the nurse printed off were focused on this very hard lump next to the epididymis, the ultrasound showed the lump as a solid black spot.. also there were sevral images where only half the testicle was visable due to the amount of liquid in the testicle sack.. I really hope this is just a cyst, It is pretty tender when i find it and give it a mild squeeze but other than that I have no pain or discomfort.

Alright, i have had this for just about a year now. We had talked about testicular cancer in health class and i got very nervous. The object is as round as a bb just a little bit smaller. The bb shaped thing moves around and has a thin stringy thing attached to the epididymis. Now the left testicle is slightly bigger than the right one...at times! not all the time is it bigger. Now i dont know what to make of this, so somebody please tell me. Email me at _[removed]_. Please i need info on this so i can take it to my doctor. Thank you

Yeah i have two lumps on both of my testes, both right on top of each ball. I first figured out about this 2 days ago when i got out of the car and had a weird tingling sensation on my scrotum. i immediately started feeling my balls and found one lump on my right. The next day i checked the left and there was a lump the same size and on the same place on the top of my testicle.

i think i have that Morgagni cyst or Morgagni’s hydatid that some people were talking about. i have had it for about 4-6 months and never really worried about it untill recently. it doesnt seem to be enlargening but ill pay more attention to its size for the next few weeks. its at the top of my right testicle (next to the epididymis) and doesnt move.when touched it doesnt hurt unless i push it hard enough but its the hurt that you feel when u get hit there or put too much pressure on your testicle so im pretty positive that it doesnt have to do with the bump. its about half the size of a pea at the moment.

if anyone has anything to say about it or may know more about it then me, please email any information or tips to me ASAP at ****

THANKS

This picture should comfort most with the speck sized hard lump that wiggles. I aswell as many other guys out there have had this diagnosed and is completely harmless. Supposedly its easier to find with a varicocele present as in my own case. But please see a doctor!!! Peace out!
