Yeah, it certainly is cause for concern but that is what the folks who create these diets depend on - the reality is, if this was the miracle cure that they push it to be, it wouldnt be buried on a website and pushed for $27 bucks! It'd be everywhere - perhaps in medical journals even.

i have been doing the id**t proof diet for 3 weeks now, i have lost 16 lb in the first two and a half weeks. i didnt think it would work as i have tried so many diets before. suffering with very bad back pain i decided to give a go and i can say this was the best choice. it is easy to follow, you know what your going to be eating, i do find that i cannot eat everything some times so i just pick one or two things from selection. i drink about 5 pints of water a day amd walk for about 45mins plus. i did find it hard to motivate my self to walk i must admit but now im fine. All my friends are asking for the diet i have been away from work for 5 weeks and they have all comentted how much wieght i have lost. my friend has been doing slimming world and has lost a 14lb in 17 weeks and has started to put weight back on , i lost more than that in the first two weeks on the id**t proof diet. i did find i felt a little tired for 2 days in the 2nd week but that passed. i can say i never feel hungry , i actually eat more on this diet than before , i used to eat when i felt like it, now i eat at regular intervals its really great. i still want to loose at least 32lb but by time i go on my holiday to america christmas time i should be able to wear what i want clothes in my wardrobe that havent seen daylight for a number of years. i would fully recommend it to anyone.
i have been doing the diet for 3 week , lost 16lb in that time , great results i have to lose 32lb more to reach my goal, i did find it har dto motivate my self to walt but i am used to it now and quite look forward to it. the plan is easy to follow as you know what youre goingt o eat for the 11 days. the reason i tried this diet, i eat health as a rule but never seemed to loose any weight, my job means i am sat at a desk all day so i dont get that much exercise. i had been off work for 5 weeks with a bad back , i went to my GP he wieghed me and i nearly fell through the floor i had put so much weight. this was just the push i needed to prompt me to loose weight. i had gained 28lb in two years. I actually eat more on this diet , i used to jsut eat when i felt like it sometimes only once a day, but now i eat 4 times a day and the weight is jsut coming off. i didnt think the diet would work but i am really amzed by the results. I have now gone back to work and all my friends are commenting how much weight i have lost , they all want to start the diet. I drink about 5 pints of water a day and i now walk about 45mins to and hour a day. I did fell a little tired for 2 days in the second week but that passed and i feel great now. for me it was well worth trying. I have a very slow metobolic rate and previous diets havent work for long or not at all.

I sincerely hope that no one is buying into all the responses in this thread regarding how great this diet is. They all say essentially the same things about how much they've lost (9-16lbs!!!), how great they feel and mention nothing substantial about the diet itself. These are replies planted by the company to SELL their product. Please do more research before plunking down your money on a product with a decision based solely on these "testimonials". The person who posted about safe and effective internet use is absolutely correct in their concern. Be careful out there!

I can personally say that I love the diet, there is no more calorie counting in which I cannot stand. They give great tips and I have lost 8lbs in a month, I kinda of cheated a little. I read through the site idiotproofdieting.com atleast 5 times before purchaseing the program. I give the id**t Proof diet 5 stars. I agree with the above statement some people are trying to just sell the book, there are a few flaws in the diet like everything but it is a great book.

I started, went for a few days and well things were not working out .So I went back to the website changed the food list and Voila the new plan...works better . Not sure if i spelled that right so much for my french. But that's the nice thing about it , you can change your menu , so don't get discouraged if its not working out for you . I am a bit hungry . It would be nice to eat more often but hey, that's how I got to be this weight .So I guess thats not a bad thing .

I am in desperate need of weight loss but don't have credit card or anything to pay for downloading. Anyone able to help?
I have been on the id**t Proof Diet for 8 days now and have lost 6 lbs. Since starting on this diet, I kept researching high protein, low carb diets on the Internet. On some websites, it claims that high protein, low carb diets can be dangerous if the balance is totally uneven. The balance on the id**t Proof Diet seems to be totally unbalanced with high protein intake and low carbs. I ask myself the question "In the long run, is this diet really safe."
Also, once your desired weight is achieved, the diet seems to have only a very limited list of proteins/carbs which can be eaten to maintain weight.
Can someone tell me if I'm missing something because so far, I am pleased with the results but can it cause any health problems in the future?
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks much.

Hello kittygirl....I started the IPD in early July 2006. I had reached 235# and am only 5'5". I was obese! It is soooooooo easy. I like all the food I choose, and eating 4 meals a day keeps me from being hungry. I can even have frozen yougurt, smoothies, good stuff. This morning, 22 Dec 06, I weighed 187. The first time in over 20 years that I have been under 200#. I take a multiple vitamen, fish oil, Coq10, extra calcium with D, C, and Folic Acid. I do work out 4 times a week at the gym, and swim 4 times a week. I have had no side effects, headaches, colds, bowel changes, or any other problems. contact me if you need support! akred9
