Do you think the diet would work if you are on a depo shot? Need help wanna lose about 20-25lbs.. thanks
Marti I completely agree with you. All of the positive posts on this site are from people called "guest" or generally names that mean absolutely nothing to anyone else. For all we know, those posts are being generated by the people who created the diet site in order to keep the money coming. I personally wouldn't pay for a diet which is based on basic nutrition advice that's given by personal trainers in any reputable gym (ie. eat 4 to 6 small meals a day that are very high in protien, veggies and fruits and drink tons of water). It's free advice...so why pay $39 for it? Seems a bit suspicious to me especially since there's no way to contact the site administrators. If the diet is so great then why remain invisible?
I haven't bought the book, so this may be an off-base guess... But based on what I could gather on the Idiots website and on sample menus described in this thread, I think the idea is to keep your body from settling into a predictable metabolic pattern.
We've all been taught to eat a balanced diet, by having a little of everything each day. But suppose I eat mostly proteins and a little fat for a couple days, then mostly good carbs (veggies, fruits, whole grains) and a little fat for a couple days, then back to the proteins/fats, and so on. I'd still get all the nutrients I need - but (at least in theory) every time my body tries to adjust my metabolism and neutralize my diet, I'm outsmarting it by doing something it doesn't expect. The other thing that works about this is the boredom factor: if I can only have two different foods at any given meal, I'll eat less total than if I were free to rummage around in my fridge.
There's another diet I've read about (not sure of the name) where you eat different foods at different times of the day. You eat mostly carbs for breakfast, and a mix of proteins and carbs for lunch. (Fat in moderation is a given, as it's difficult to avoid.) You're also supposed to workout at some point in the afternoon. Once your workout is done, you're finished with carbs for the rest of the day, except for low-starch veggies with your dinner. I don't know whether the "different needs at different times" theory is true, but it's similar to the Idiots diet in that you're eating lopsided meals - and at the very least, you're not eating potato chips or ice cream in front of the TV before bedtime, which has got to be a plus.

hello everyone,
my girlfiend turned me on to this diet. her dad has been on it for about 6 months and lost 102 lbs. so she decided to try it and has lost 35 in 2 months. i am on my third day. the food is simple and very good. any diet that allows me to have cashews is my kind of diet!! i try not to eat all 3 items at every meal. my girlfriend said it works better to eat more of one item then all 3. today was the all fruit day with a a big fat deli meat sandwich at the end of the day!! i made it without much difficulty. the price has gone up to 39.00 by the way. good luck to anyone trying it. it's healthy and i think promotes good eating habits.

Take it from me, this diet REALLY WORKS! I lost 50 pounds after trying all the stupid gimmicks that everyone is tryong to sell. The logic is simple, you are never hungry and the pounds disappear.
This is the greatest diet. Last sommer my husband and i had to go to a wedding and it was back in our home town. wanted to appear as we did many years ago (the way people remember us) we set off on this diet! It is wonderful! we lost the weight we came back home from the wedding and quit dieting, but the weight stayed gone!
This is a fabulous diet and i want to add that we felt so healthy during the diet that we often talk of doing it again just for healthy feel.

How come all the comments about this diet refer to the $27.00 cost of the diet, yet the cost of this diet at idiotproofdiet.com/ is $39.00? There's a $27.00 program listed at drop20lbsfast.com/. Is this the same program? Does the same group own both websites? Why pay $39.00 when you can get the same thing for $27.00, if it is the same? Does anyone have any insight here?
This is a great diet. I am going on my third cycle and it is amazing. Plus it's not that hard to do. I would have never even have done it until I saw my boss start losing all this weight right before my eye's and he told me about it. I shelled out the $40 and never looked back. Well worth the money.
Somone mentioned one of the days is mainly fruit...
I don't eat fruit at all and don't think I will ever (other than bananas and juice) but have no problems with veggies. would this be a problem???????????

does anyone know?
Okay, I am no dr by any means and I myself am a little on the overweight side, but losing that much weight in that short of time, though good for the self esteam, is not really the healthy way. Nor is it the way to keep the pounds from coming back. My mom and I have a bet going, if I lose 40 pounds before my wedding (which is 9 months away) I win and she gives me some money. At first I thought there would be no way, but let me tell you, If you chose to eat the right foods (veg. fruit) and not chips, soda, and fatty foods. you really will see a difference and it will be healthy. I am not saying you can't splurge every now and then, but I have been eating healthy for a whole 2.5 weeks now and I am down 7 pounds and I know I will keep it off because the way I figure it, I am not "dieting" I am changing the way I look at food and making healthier choices. I am still eating lots, I eat 5 times a day, but for a snack I have fruit and I make sure I still drink my milk because that will help my skin so I don't look so flabby when I lose my weight. In either case, when I talked to my dr about wanting to lose weight, he said that anymore than about 3 or4 pounds weight loss was not healthy and more likely to come back just as fast as it came off.
Hi I tried the diet fast loss 11 day one, lost 9 pounds as promised, 10 days later only put 2 pounds back on. iT IS A BORING DIET THOUGH
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought the IPD for $39USD. I am starting it tomorrow. I have about 20lbs that I want to lose. I will be going to the Gym 3 days a week but other than that no exercise. I Do Not Work for The makers of the diet, I am a stay at home mom of 3 living in Nova Scotia Canada. I just want to lose a little weight. I will keep you posted as the days go on. Hope this helps. ;-)

I'm reading all the "testimonials" on this diet and I'm sorry but I just can't believe it. I have read thru the website over and over again and it really doesnt explain a whole lot it doesnt even give you an example of some of the menus. One thing i found completely ridiculous was the disclaimer"If you notice the you are losing too much weight too quickly then you should stop dieting for a few days,if you begin to lose 1lb a day then you should slow down",COME ON!!! give me a break, only a website would put someting as outrageous as that on the website to lure people in,I don't believe any of the testimonials are real people and I think it would b a total waist of money if anyone orders this product which no one has ever heard of!!
can somebody please send me a copy , i would like to see it. Thanks a million.
