I am overweight and get these rashes under my belly from time to time, not too often but around once every 6 months. I have used almost everything since high school, and most of the powders seem to cake up and create a disgusting smelling puss paste, but for the past year or so, I strictly use that orange Dial bar soap, it has cleared it up fast and better than anything, and now reading yours I am definately going to try and get some of that Zeasorb, hope it works out for me, thank you! Also, I usually just take cold showers, or just spray cold water on the rash for awhile after cleaning the rash, and leave a towel under my belly for awhile until it dries completely.

I am having this problem right now too and have had it before. My doctor told me it is a fungal skin infection. You can try purchasing over the counter yeast infection cream and applying it to the area. Also, my gyno told me no power with cornstarch! He said cornstarch breeds yeast and will make it worse! Use only 100% talc powder.

first Tam44wisc double check about the powders my doc said no I have been severally obese since I was 3 after all these years the doc said thyroid is problem which now has caused diabetes but in all honesty the dieting will help with pounds but not the loose skin and it sucks if you cant afford to have it removed so I have battled this I was young so about 50 yrs now some really good suggestions but just wanted you to make sure powder is what dr would want it does clump up in folds

Don't use any cornstarch. ARGO corn starch is the best. It is silkier and not grainy. I use it all the time.

If the rash is caused by a fungus, the cornstarch "feeds" it and the fungus will "flourish".

Dr. Oz recommended this on one of his TV shows! Just might try it!

Itchy rash and sweating is something that I have also. I went to the doctor and it is a fungal infection that is common with overweight people. I was told to purchase a fungal powder that you can find in drug stores. My local drug store carries it and it is not expensive at all. It was a generic brand and I just powder after I have showered. I find if I sit with a dry towel under the stomach flap for 15 minutes to make sure it is really dry after my shower, then powder it works better. Good luck.

Nystatin cream worked well for me at first but now it doesn't. My Dr gave me a "stronger" cream and that's not working either. I have dermatitis on the bottom of my stomach and it is weeping to the point where my pants are soaked. I usually use Gold Bond medicated which still works for keeping under the fold nice and dry but this other stuff is ridiculous. Have now resorted to feminine pads strategically placed on my underwear, and that's just to help catch the moisture. Getting really tired of it.

I have had trouble for years and have tried many things. A friend told me to shower dry off as best you can or dry the area with a hair dryer. APPlY  PH SECRET STICK DEODERANT TO THE AREA. It works in one day to feel better. After 3 days it is healed. Try it it works well.

I am happy for you! That's a great accomplishment. I had some surgery that resulted in no muscles in my lower abdomen and when I gained weight the rash problem started. I lost some, but the "flab" is still there. Your success encourages me to continue dieting. Thank you.

This is an absolutely wonderful idea. Another good idea would be something to hold that flap up. I haven't been able to find anything that works that will stay in place in that area.

Powder to keep it dry. If you keep having problems you may have a fungal infection because it grows in moisture. You can use over-the-counter creams for fungal infections.
