I've been having the same issues. I'm 18 and I've been having straight migraines for 2 1/2 weeks! It's so painful that I cried for like 10 minutes and I've already had to ask my parents to come and get me at school...it's been about 3 times or so now that I've had to ask them to come and take me home. I've tried pills, laying down, hot bags, etc. Nothing has helped!!

I've been having the same problems since I was 14 (currently 16). Sharp pain in head, always tired, always sleeping, even the bad dizziness and nausea. These headaches put me in an odd routine for me, I go to school, fall asleep in the majority of my classes, then I come home and sleep all day. Usually, the pain is so bad that I have to get an infusion, and that only dulls the pain. I've had 2 sleep studies, a CT and MRI scan, none of which found anything. My neurologist put me on Topamax, which made me depressed and nearly suicidal. After being on that for a month, I got switched to a natural pill which seems to work okay. I've currently been on this since about springtime.

I do notice that my headaches NEVER appear during summer break, and come back again once school starts, however. I never had this problem before I entered my current high school. For me, it seems like my problems started my freshman year. I had MRSA 6 seperate times, double pneumonia, and these headaches started all started my freshman year. Now who says people can't be allergic to school? :-P It's my junior year now, not even done with the first 10 weeks of school, and I have already missed close to 10 days because of these headaches. I missed all this week (mon, tues, weds, thurs) and now today (fri). I am taking Predisone right now until saturday, since the neurologist wouldn't let me get an infusion. The steroid isn't helping anyone, like it used to when the problem first started. These headaches are ruining me, and I'm desperate for something to work. For good.

Hi all I have not read all of your comments and posts and do not even know whether any of you have managed to get a diagnosis. However quite a few of your symptoms sound like they could be related to fibromyalgia. This is a condition I have and although you suffer with it every day just knowing what is wrong with you helps a fraction. I am 23 yrs old and I often have headaches (can be a daily occurance) and aches and pains in my shoulders, neck, hips, legs in fact just about everywhere. I am not on here to complain about it though. You also suffer with fatigue as well as many other complaints that alot of you guys have commented on having. it may be worth asking your doctors about it - although some doctors are still scepticial about the existence of Fibromyalgia -it is becoming a more recognised condition. Good luck :)

YOU BOTH MAY HAVE GLANDULAR FEVER, AND WOULD GET IT CHECKED OUT. IN SOME CASES IT HAS BEEN, YOU WOULD NEED A LIFE-SURRPORT MACHINE TO SURVIVE. IT IS CASED BY KISSING.

I'm 23 and have all the same symptoms. I've been reading what everyone says and I'm starting to think there is no way of getting rid of the headaches. I've been working with a neurologist and trying different medications (from amatriptyline to noratriptyline to anti-seizure medications) and nothing works... the side effects have been hard to endure as well. Maybe it is time to just accept the fact that nothing can be done and do our best to live as normal as possible.

I have the same problem constant headaches, lightheadedness, dizziness and fatigue. I know that one big problem for me is indoor pollution. This is mainly caused by the air flow in a home or building. I pretty much have this problem only when the air conditioner or heater is running. I feel bad for my wife cause we hardly have the heater on for this reason during the winter. I change the air filter quite frequently but it doesn't always help. I recently started having constant headaches, fatigue and dizziness at work for a week straight now. I realized the heater started coming on cause it's starting to get cold out. I went downstairs and changed out the air filter. I pray this helps cause It's going to be so hard dealing with this everyday for the winter. I hope this helps people who come back from the doctor who says they are completely healthy. Check the quality of air in your home!

I'm a 16 year old girl. I can't remember the last time I didn't have a headache. I have a headache every conscious hour of my day. Sometimes they're not so bad, but most of the time they're debilitating and interfering with my life, such as school, homework, extracurricular activities, and even my free time.

I've been getting headaches since I could talk about them, although probably around 8th grade/freshman year of high school they started to get a lot worse and a lot more frequent. No over-the-counter pain medication has been affective whatsoever. I'm in my junior year of high school now and with these constant headaches I'm finding it really hard to deal with the workload. I used to be an honors student but I've had to drop most of those classes because of the amount of work they give you. Days that I go to school I'll often come home and go to sleep or lie down right after I get back. I have a 504 plan at school that allows me to miss more days than the average student and also to extend due dates but my grades are still slipping because I don't have the energy to even sit at a desk and do work.

The headaches themselves are usually in my forehead and my temples, sometimes in the back towards the base of my neck, although occasionally they'll be one-sided more like a migraine but the light and sound sensitivity isn't really there... but what person with a headache wants to be in a bright, noisy atmosphere?
I can smell things a lot better when I have a headache, but not in a good way. Every unappealing smell bothers me and seems to make my headache worse. Highly scented things like air fresheners and candles are extremely agitating.
Sometimes I get this buzzed feeling, like I'm high almost. One day while at school, I was in class and I sort of got tunnel vision, I could only see in front of me and things were blurry and it was hard to walk. Another day not very long ago I got the same sort of feeling and there was a pink haze over everything lasting for about two minutes. When I get a bad headache, the pain usually progresses throughout the day and ends in a throbbing headache that completely disables me from normal activities. My headaches are almost always worse at the end of the day.
I'm constantly tired, to the point where I'm almost positive that it's an abnormal level of fatigue. I see people complain all the time about being tired from staying up too late, but even when I get 9-10 hours every night for a week straight I'm still feeling as tired as if I had only gotten 4 or 5. This fatigue has gotten to the point where I can't even wake up in the morning and get out of bed. I used to sleep very poorly and wake up frequently during the night but since I've been taking Flexeril for my neck and my back I've been able to sleep a lot more soundly but I'm still waking up feeling unrested.
With my headaches, I usually only get nauseas when they're extremely painful.
I feel dizzy a lot. Standing up from a sitting position or from lying down makes my vision go almost completely black and causes me to lose my balance. My head pounds in my head and my ears ring. I know this is a common thing for a lot of people but I've found that it's getting increasingly worse and lasts longer than it used to.

The only apparent medical condition that I have is scoliosis (I see a chiropractor regularly and that has done nothing for the pain in my head) and myopia, but I wear contact lenses/glasses at all times. I've been to an allergist; I'm not allergic to anything. Before the chiropractor I saw a message therapist, but that did nothing. I started seeing a neurologist in my freshman year of high school and he tried me on several different medications over the course of a year. Topamax was the last one I believe, however the side effects included tingling hands for 7 hours straight, to the point where it was very distracting and uncomfortable and it didn't touch my headaches. He thought that maybe I was depressed and suggested I see a councilor and said he couldn't do anything for me and that yoga might help. I haven't tried yoga but I did see a councilor to rule out depression and she did rule it out. I found a new neurologist who had run a headache clinic in Utah for 20 years. He was referred to me by the first neurologist I saw at that health care facility, simply because he had more experience dealing with headaches specifically. I have tried Neurontin, Fioricet, Midrin, Flexeril, Nortryptyline, Amitryptyline, and a few others, all with no effect. I am currently on a 550mg Anaprox twice a day. Basically it's like Aleve (naproxen sodium) and works as an anti-inflammatory. So far (3 weeks) no relief.

I have had numerous CT-scans and MRI's (collectively from my lower spine to my head) and they haven't shown anything. Every blood test has come back negative. I've been tested for lyme disease, mono, TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone), gluten sensitivity, and several others, all with no results.

My current neurologist feels that I get a mix of tension headaches and migraines, but my opinion is that if I've been getting headaches since I was a child, how could I have enough stress to cause headaches? To me it doesn't make sense. I see him every month, and every month I come in and tell him that the medication he prescribed hasn't worked and he prescribes me another medication. I definitely feel that he is taking stabs in the dark.

did you ever find out what was wrong??? i just turned 16 and i've been having the same symptoms (minus the bleeding) since about september now as well, and i had an MRI and an MRA done and the doctors found out that i have a chiari malformation, which is a structural malformation in the cerebellum. the bones are too small and there is not enough room down there. many people who have spina bifida have this, but i do not have spina bifida. maybe you could have a chiari malformation?

I experienced extremely bad headaches and most of the other symptoms listed above for about 25 years, they started at about 13yrs of age. After thousands of dollars worth of doctors bills and tests still there were no answers. I finally had enough of the pain and just spent days researching on the internet, and finally thought I would try a gluten free diet. This took a lot of researching as well but within two days no headaches, still a bit dizzy from time to time but life is wonderful without headaches. Feeling this good I decided to go vegan as well, this cleared up a few more symptoms. I had one really bad headache about two weeks after going gluten free, I think it was just my body getting rid of years of junk, since then I only occassionally get a mild headache with my period. Also checking your ph level is helpful, a body that is to acidic will cause a lot of problems. This may not be everyones problem but maybe it will help some. Eating a gluten free diet is quite challenging too, especially when alot of products don't say whether they are gluten free or not so learning the whole list of gluten products takes some time, but I believe that it is truly worth it.
