Yes! We do need an entire thread of people saying “me too”. Everyone needs to know they are not alone and that the Medical “Professionals” are useless. I get a low grade fever which lasts from Oct-March and makes my life miserable, and I’ve been through every one of the suggestions all the people in this thread have (except Broccoli Sprout) with no relief. It’s diminished my life in so many ways and I just had Sinusplasty Which I’m now fairly certain will do nothing! Off to buy Broccoli Sprout.

Hi.  I was relieved to find this post!  I am 64 and this started for me 3 years ago...November-March.  I have always had bad sinuses but I don't have allergies.  I get 1-2 sinus infections a year.  My symptoms are 1) always having to clear my throat and coughing.  I don't feel sick but I don't feel 100%.  After the first month I just get used to it.  It goes away in the spring.

I finally went to an ENT last January (before COVID) and he told me I have a severely deviated septum.  He suspected that I had chronic sinusitus with post-nasal drip...maybe tied to the sinus infections.  I don't remember exactly what he gave me but it was a course of antibiotics and a steroid...strong stuff.  He put me on a 2 week course and I ended up repeating it twice and felt better at the beginning of February.  He felt that operating on my deviated septum would address it.  That was the plan and then COVID hit and I was unable to get the surgery.  It started up again in November.  I am going back to the ENT tomorrow to restart the process.  I am hopeful this will work.

Victim of the same stuff here. I was diagnosed chronic congestion and sinusitis disease and allergies to everything. But every fall to early spring, coughing, asthma, and tons of thick goo keeping me up at night and at home all winter long. Tried the steroids', z packs, couch medicine, Sudafed (which helped for a bit), every allergy medicine available. Every doc saying its the vents, animals, whatever. But they are the same each year. New doctors seem not to believe me. Had so many x-rays that showed nothing. This has been a very bad winter, its hard to live this way. If anyone finds anything please spread this. Oh, my nose was operated on also. My heart goes out to you all. Im sorry you have to go through this.

I have found some information about a blood test that was done this month being very sick and asthma. My eosinophil level was very high. It has been tested before once in August and one in September but my number was in range. I searched more about this Eosinophil. Looking more at it, and my systems, looks like I may have ECRS Eosinophilic Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Asthma. And there was information about seasonal triggers that get my allergies and congestion and asthma so out of whack. It also said for the asthma part that steroids' are the best. I have been searching for years as what has been going on. Every winter sick as a sick dog. These test and information I found online started showing up slowly since 2017. I think Allergy and Asthma may have been overlooked because very high number could be more serious issues like cancer. But to finally see something that maybe could start finding relieve and the causes lifted my spirits for now. There is other kinds of allergy asthma issue also with this Eosinophil. Some is lung related. I believe mine comes from Sinus Disease and the fun of polyps. Hope this help anyone. I sure hope this will give me some answers before the fall comes.

I too have the exact same cough and have for 30+ years. I have seen every doctor I could think of and have had many X-rays. No one has been able to figure this cough out Everyone is sick and tired of me coughing. What aggravates my cough too during this coughing season is talking, cold air and cold drinks and overwhelming smells If anyone finds a cure , please share.

I am a 51 year old and never had any sickness until 2015 I would get a cough and very short of breath from late September to March. I have been on 3 different antibiotics, 3 doses of prednisone, albuterol, Flonase, Claritin, nebulizer x4 a day . I event take a heartburn medication. The Doctors say there is nothing else they can do. I have seen my family doctor, Pulmonologist, Allergist and Enterologist. I have had a lot of different tests done. Xrays(Lungs Clear) Bronchial Lavage and several other tests. I don't feel it in my lungs although at times when I cant breathe I have a burn. I feel everything in my throat. I have even done nasal washes and nothing works. Please HELP

Guys I know this sounds crazy but I get this every year in August or September. Five days ago it started again. I remember talking to the doctor and I told him I went on a cruise and the next day it was gone. I told him it must be the salt air. He laughed and told me there is no pollen out over the ocean. I also remember going to Cancun and the same thing happened. My wife is looking into cruises now. May as well see if that works. Will let you know the results.

Mine just started last week and it won't end until April. My nose is running and only a decon. helps for few hours. But it is like clock work this time of year, leading to acid reflux. The acide reflux adds to the coughing and eventually I end up with bronchitis.
At least I can get a few hours of reflief a day from the decongestion medicine.
I've tried steam showers and nasal cleansing thinking it might help, but no. Once it gets into my chest it no longer matters if my nose is running or not.
