So, I am 16 years old and 147 lbs and 5' 4". When I was 13 I weighed 150 or so and then I joined my schools rowing team. I also regularly went to the gym. i was a freshman then so life was so much easier. I had to quit the team because it was taking up too much time. I slowly went from 128 to my current weight. This year I am a junior so it has been a hard year. I have had a lot of stress and homework so i frequently only get around 6 or 7 hours of sleep. Between work, volunteering, and having a boyfriend I have no time after school to go to the gym like I used to. I have a chemistry lab on Tuesday and Thursday so on Monday Wednesday and Friday I can sleep in a little bit and sometimes I'll drive to the gym for an hour work out. I feel like I'm the type of person that can't lose weight unless they excersize. I tried monitoring my calorie intake and burn with an app on my itouch but that was hard to keep up with and felt very restricting.

So, basically I was wondering if anyone could pinpoint what would be the best strategy for me to lose weight. Over the summer I will have a lot of time to work out but I really would like to lose some weight before the summer since its bikini season ;-)

Hi! It is true that other important activities in our lives serve as obstacles in our goal to shed off some fats. I know you are just sixteen and although how much I want to advice you in considering medical surgeries such as liposuction or abdominoplasty, still I think you are too young for these. During times when you know you cannot workout in the gym, try to minimize your calorie intake. Also, even though you cannot go to the gym, you can always walk a few blocks in going to some destinations, walk up-and-down the stairs in your school, get into sports, and the likes. There is always a way for that.

Well try eating the right food and maybe taking a walk or jogging towards your school if that it is just walking distance or at least in weekends you can have your exercise.
