Wow, I thought your post was somewhat informative until I read that "everyone who has been infected with an STD to get some Psychological help as well (REALLY) as to why you are having unprotected sex." FIrst of all, having unprotected sex is not a psychological disorder. Second, in my case, I have only had sex with one person ever and we have been in a relationship for 3 years. Unfortunately, for chlamydia, most patients have no signs of infection AND most gynos will not test for chlamydia/gonorrhea with your annual pap, it is something you usually have to ask for. That being said, it can be very easy to be responsible and still become infected. There is no reason to tell someone to seek mental help simply because of an STD infection.

I got diagnosed with this and it actually turned out I did not have it that a had ovarian cysts and the bacteria from them caused a positive. Clymidia can be caused because your partner didnt clean right or you could of been wiping the wrong way my Fiances dad is a ob/gyn an explained everything too me. it's very easy and common to get a positive for claymidia so just do your treatment and possibally go get an inner pelvic exam (ultrasound) to make sure you don't have cysts (there also very common) and I hope your condition got better.

I Had it twice and it took 24 hours to clear. I got 2 x 500mg tablets in one go,prescribed by the doctor. No intercourse during the 24hour period. It was gone after the 24 hours

I tested positive for Chlamydia and was prescribed the two tablets of Azithromycin. I took the pills that day and later that night, my boyfriend and I had sex using a condom. He hadn't been treated yet. At one point the condom came off during sex.. Do I need to go back to the doctor? Because the Azithromycin was still in my system, do you think it might have fought that off too?

You can still be infected with an STD even if you use protection. Don't be so smug.

Unfortunately that's true is cause scaring because I had no idea I had it I had an eptopic pg and had internal bleeding putting my life at risk I lost a baby and a tube. So just becareful

The symptoms may be gone, but the infection would not be gone within 24 hours. That is very dangerous to tell people, it is important to abstain from sex for a week after treatment. That dose of Azithromycin has a half life of about 3 days, and during the entire course of treatment you are still able to pass on the std. It doesn't just go all "Oh hey, suddenly antibiotics? Kay, I'll clear out now." It takes time for the bacteria to be fought off completely, hence needing a week-long treatment in whatever form.
