I have been on the depo shot for about a year and just got off it a month ago. My bf and I had sex while using protection. He lost the condom and it was still stuck inside me and he came while the condom was still inside me on my butt area but close to my vagina. It has already been a week since we had sex. How long does the shot stay in your system and can you get pregnant during that time?

Im 18 years old and me an my fiance bein trying to conceived a baby since october of 2011 and it still not happen its bein six months and we are still trying to conceived im losing hope. I have being off my depo shots since march of 2011 and i try to wait a hold year march just pass and still nothing having happen so i tried again apirl 21, 2012 to become pregnant im going to the dr in the a.m. to see is it going to happen.
Hi. I got on the shot in january. i only had one shot because i did not like the side effects. I never stop my period. i was always spotting and sometimes still do. I want to know how long will it take to get pregnant. i supposed to went back for the shot in march but i did not. please help
hi i only had one shot and then i stop i am 21 and it been like 3 or 4 months and today out of nowhere when i woke up i fel dizzy and i just thro up at work and i dont have a fever or sick or nouthing just a lil headic and still alil sick to my stomic should i take a pregency test or you think it might be it me and my boyfriend never had protection but he took it out al the times that i know of but can you let me know what you think i shouls do??? thank you
hi i am 21 and i only use the shot once the first one and then got off me and my boyfriend dont use condoms but he said he takes it out when he needs to do it but it been like 3 or 4 months til i got off and today since i woke up i been feeling dizzy and about to throw up and i throw up today and i still feel sick and dizzy alittle and im not sick or have a fever do you thin i should take the pregency test or you think it could be something else?????? thank you hope to hear from you soon
Im 19 years old and thinking about having a baby. I have only gotten the Depo spot twice and i'm suppose to get my third one next month but I don't plan on it. How long do you think it would be before I got pregnant ?
well i was on the shot for 5 years and the doctor give me some birth control pills i suppose to take the pill 3 times a day for 7 days when the pack was done i have to skip 7 days and with in that 7 days i skip my period came down for one full week he told me the very first day of my period start taken the second pack of birth control pill once a day for 21 days every days the same time everyday and it work am haven my regular period trust me try it guys the pills i took name GYNERA
heya girls i am 18 years old and trying for a baby i went on the depo in june went back i was due it in september and got it so i got to shots and was ment to get it in november and didnt go back so thats 6 months now and i got 1 period well i think it was i dono wat to think :( :'(
hi i had been on the shot since i was 16 and now i'm 20 and it has been a yeas and i have not yet gotten pregnant but i fill light headed after sex. For about three or four months i have had a cycle but this month i didn't have one. Now i took a test and it was negative. Now i just want to know what to do. also i have had a couple of drinks because the test was negative i also smoked because i'm stressed out by it because we are really trying. we have sex a lot even right after my cycles in the pass and thins is the first time i have not had a cycle.
It all depends on your body. I was on the shot for 2 years and decided not to go get another one July of last year. That following November I found out I was three months pregnant. I just gave birth to my son and plan on getting back on the shot.
I have been off the depo for 8 months and I have just found out I'm pregnant so keep your chin up
I was on depo for 4 continuous years, been off for 19 months now. Have always had very irregular periods. I am 24 btw, married just under 2 years and am hoping my husband and I can have a baby in the next year-year and a half. Husband is 30 and has an 11 year old boy from a previous relationship, I love my step-son very very dearly but we would love to have one of our own. I have cysts on both ovaries, and on the side of my stomach (fatty deposit is what my OB called it) (since being on depo) my mother had endometriosis <(spelling). I spot quite a lot but it is never on a pad or tampon just inon jeans. I cramp very very badly, and at times it gets to the point where I can't move. I get irritable, depressed, moody, have hot flashes and cold sweats and everything else that goes along with menopause but Im 24. I believe this is all from depo, I also am almost 145 lbs over weight and 5'0 tall (please don't judge:) )I have gained all this weight from depo and have tried to lose it and to no avail have been able to, I'm at a loss when it comes to that. Any advice on ways to lose weight or about trying to conceive... I have tried diet exercise and everything else I can think of to lose weight. Thanks for any help! Kandice Weaver

I'm really thankfiul for your posting... I have been on Depo for 8-9 years and I didn't take my last one which would have been due 7/24 and I have not had a period yet and my boyfriend and I are tring to get pregnant but I am scared I won't be able to get pregnant or that I will miscarry since I had been on it soooo.... long. I pray you will be able to get pregnant and not miscarry. Thanks again for sharing.
