My husband and i are trying for a baby and it been almost a year. Are we doing something wrong? How do i tell when i'm ovulating. The first day of my period is very painful, will that affect my chances of falling pregnant? Pleas help i'm very desperate.
I have been trying for over a year. I had to wait until I had been TTC for at least 12 months before the GYN would refer me to a fertility specialist. My periods are also very painful and the doctor says it is normal, but I went to have an HSG test done and my right tube is completly blocked so I am not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Either way just because you have a painfull paeriods doesn't mean you are having fertility issues. What I would be concerned with is the fact that you have been trying for 12 months and nothing. Go see a fertilty doctor just to check things out. Good luck!!

i have also been trying for a year no luck i go months without periods and then when i do start its very painful and last for a couple weeks and also very clotty. its not uncommen to not get pregnant within a year of coming off BC but i would get it checked out to be on safe side. If you are regular with your menstrual cycles then i would be concerned because if you have a cycle you should be releasing an egg (ovulating) my problem is i have very irregular cycles so its hard for me to calculate ovulation time... again if your regular get an home ovulation kit and see if that helps GOOD LUCK!!
