Hi sweet heart, there is no such thing as being to young to see an ENT specialist, they treat any age. It is strange that your parents will not take you to see an ENT???? However, your nutritionalist is another problem. A simple nutritionist is not educated in medical health, they are not a Doctor, nor are they even a nurse, they simply help people with a healthier way of eating, that's it. It was very wrong for a nutritionist to even attempt to answer the question, when they could not possibly know of any health problems that may or may not be related. They only know about food...that's it! More importantly, a nutritionist who plays Doctor needs to be reported and you should get a new nutritionist. For this id**t nutritionist to have said anything but "you need to see a Doctor, because I am not, nor do I know anything about health problems" was a huge mistake on their part and can be sued into next year for pretending to play Doctor and more over, to tell you it was in the head was WRONG!! This nutritionist needs to be fired and reported. Trust what you rbody tells you and if you feel something abnormal, then follow up with a Doctor and another and onother until you get the right answer. Be ware Doctor's can be just as uneducated as your nutritionist but, a Doctor is qualified to answer these types of questions and nutritionist simply knows about food and even then they are questionable. Trust yourself and your body and keep researching and hounding Doctor's and tell your parents to send you to an ENT because it is your health and you care baout your health and you know when something is not right....fire the nutritionist and demand with your parents to see and ENT, your family Doctor will refer you if you tell them what is wrong, 13 or not you are never to young and tell your parents to care more about your health!

A few months ago, I woke up in the middle of the night to an extreme coughing fit after having a dream that I swallowed a inorganic object, and still had a feeling like I did in fact swallow something while I was awake. This could anything from a piece of food dislodging that was stuck where my ear canal connects to the mouth, which happens often and I can usually fish out with my tongue over the course of a few hours, to a bug, or something psychosomatic.

I can probably count on one hand the number of times in the last several years I've experienced night time acid reflux which I know is always from excessive late night eating. If I don't do that, I don't experience it. so taking all this into consideration, a few times since the coughing fit I've noticed that I will wake up in a similar manner, but without the coughing, just felt like something was in my throat towards the bottom right side, between my adam's apple and my clavicle I'd say.

The discomfort would come and go but never got any worse, until recently I noticed if I turned my head in a certain way I would experience soreness. I then thought it was a strained neck which could have been coupled with a shoulder injury I experienced about 6 weeks ago.

While sitting at work about a half hour after eating some Wendy's, I produced an emphatic burp and felt a semi-solid piece of "something" come up which I immediately swallowed on reaction, and since then, the discomfort is gone, with only very slight soreness about 1/10 as often as before. I also noticed that my snoring was becoming very loud in recent weeks, loud enough that it would wake me up, and that I was burping way more than usual. This could all be connected to whatever was stuck, as last night I slept fine, and I have burped only once so far today.

My suggestion to everyone with his problem, EAT WENDY'S AND BURP THAT THING UP.

Allergies can make you feel as if you have a lump in your throat (and that sensation can leave as suddenly as it occurred too). It is also common to have some ear pain (can feel like an earache). Also with allergies, the throat can feel as though you have strep (although you do not.) You can google ways to reduce/prevent allergies.

99% sure its tonsil stones. They are annoying disgusting things. I have them now but if u r like me with a rather large tongue u can't see the white spots on ur tonsils. If u can just gently push with a qtip or something and they will pop out. Since I can't see where to push I just push all over then they choke me when they come out. It's disgusting but will feel SOOO much Btr when its gone. Hope to have helped

I am a 13 year old boy and i also had this sensation in the back of my throat for 2 days i got lucky and a piece of rice went through the wrong whole and i sneezed it out it was two chunks of mucus and blood. I went to the doc and he told me that happened i swallowed my food too fast my throat got scratched so it. He also told me that i got real lucky and that if it had not gotten out i would have gotten surgery. Please consult a medic if you have this problem for more than 2 weeks. Glad i could help you and maybe you wont listen to a 13 year old boy but trust i wont write this to mess around it is to help.
