I found a hard lump on my inner labia a couple of days ago and it hurts when touched, like a bruise. Then yesterday I found another on the other side with also hurts when touched. Both lumps are quite deep down in the skin and the area around the first one is slightly swollen. I had this problem a few years ago, found a similar lump when I was in the bath but the next day it was gone. Anyone know what it could be/had the same problem?
Hi Jen! A couple of questions OK?
1. Are these bumps DEFINITELY outside the vagina on your labia or just inside the vagina?
2. Are you sexually active?
3. Have you EVER had unprotected sex of ANY kind?

Hey, yeah they're both on the outside, but seem to be quite deep in the skin. I am sexually active and had unprotected sex about a month ago with my boyfriend, we're certain neither of us had any STIs and as I found a lump like this years ago before I was sexually active I would be surprised if it was related, but I suppose you never know
Just another little update, the first lump seems slightly smaller and is much less painful today
Women get cysts ALL the time in their genital area! It can be from shaving, irritation, plugged pores, sebaceous glands etc.! Do they look like pimples? IF you have had them before then it might have to do with feeling unwell, and getting swelling! It is hard to diagnose BUT if you are totally sure that this isn't STI related, then it is probably cebacious gland or a plugged pore! Warm baths should help this!
