Thank you for letting me know I'm not alone. I've been a daily user for the past three years and I quit cold turkey a few days ago when I was going through tough relationship times. The nausea is unbareable; I find myself trying to throw up the little bit of food I've managed to digest. The jitters and the headaches are a bit overwhelming as well. However, You really can't be surprised that we feel this way considering we've been in an altered state of mind more often than we have been sober in recent years. Withdrawals are tough when you don't have anything going on and even worse when your environment is bringing you down. It gets better everyone. It takes a little bit of time to adjust and that time moves slower than any high I've ever had before.

literally I know this post is over a year old but I am going through the same "withdrawls" right now and man are they real and PHYSICAL. speak for yourself as everyone is different and actually you give cannabis a bad name because of how you speak to the beautiful people on this forum that are here for help.  Good luck to you, my friend because the people who come here for help will always be better people than the ones like you in the world.

Actually, if your a heavy user, and been doing it for a long time, quitting cold turkey DOES make you have these symptoms. Do some research.

That's because that's what your told cannabis most of the time is sprayed with opiates to create an addiction and keep custom flowing

Me too. I've been smoking daily 4 over a year, and now I start feeling sick on the 1st day w/o. Now when I smoke I don't feel so good either. I'm a mess and I need to quit it's ruining my life and on top of that my 17 year old smokes who lives with me. I've been isolating and very depressed. Can't share in N.A. bc daughters dad goes there. He'd flip out. I feel trapped

Today is my 8th day of not smoking weed. I have not considered it a big deal and have maybe been ignoring some side effects. The first night I had a horrible nightmare and couldn't fall back asleep. Other than that I've not had too many issues. I am honest about replacing my habit with things I do co spider less healthy such as drinking more alcohol (a beer when I get home from work) and I smoke 2 cigarettes a day, if that, just to help fill the void. I would gladly continue smoking pot over the alternatives if only it weren't for the risk of losing my job.
Tonight I got home from a wine tasting with a friend and have the worst stomach ache, nausea, and diarrhea. I can't say for sure if these are symptoms of not smoking marijuana. Maybe I just have the flu or something.

I am sitting here and have read as many of the comments as possible. Now also let me tell you that withdrawal symptoms are very real! I had smoked mary jane for around 25 years and stopped a couple of times where I have had to ie when going on holiday. Now I have made a conscious decision to better my life now that I have reached 40, and I feel that I have achieved very little and this is due to smoking weed. I have always known that for me personally, weed has demotivated my life but always found it hard to quit. I have tried a few times to quit, but given up as soon as I started to feel sick (after 24 hours) and started smoking again. Well now I sit here after quiting for 5 days and let me tell you, I have very mixed emotions. Firstly, I have been feeling amazing at times, knowing that I will be free from the clutches of addiction (eventually). But this has been coupled with complete sickness, nauseous feelings, total lack of appetite and worst of all, sleepless sweaty nights. Today is the beginning of day 6 and I feel worse than ever, but I will not give in! I woke up with the feeling of a weed hangover but obviously know this can't be possible. I have been awake now for an hour and the sick feeling is starting to go away, yet i am very aware that tonight will be the same as the last few nights. I guess that I am writing this to serve as a way of recognition to my problem and a way to share that you are not alone on this planet. I presume that there are thousands of people quiting all over the world at the same time, and depending on your individual circumstances, stick with it for a better life. All of my friends gave up years ago and are now all married with kids and own their own homes. I am 40 and have nothing! Well I'm going to stick to this to improve my life, and I will write a little more next week as sort of a journal of the stages of my withdrawal symptoms.

Good luck to those that want to quit, and stick with it, it will only get better! Peace
