I have been going out with a girl recently, and i thought...what if she sees this, will that prevent me from ever having sex? and ive been very worried about it recently, if its transmitted, etc...im so glad to see that these white small guys are harmless, and yes, they itch when you pick on em, and some of them is like described above, like zits with some sort of goo...was wondering if it was warts or maybe even some sort of herpes, great help you guys!

I also have these all over my scrotum and over my entire penile shaft, I have been to the doctor, and have been diagnosed with fordyce spots.

Fordyce's spots, and/or sebaceous prominence does not go away, though it is sometimes uncomfortable they accrue in 50-90% of all males, treatment consists of lazer surgery to remove these nasty buggers.

Note: You are born with these conditions, you have always had them, though they have not been visiable, they usually don't become very prominent until puberty.

P.S. they cannot be transmitted, if you want more info you can find it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordyce_spots

Hope i helped.

i had the same thing thats just hair growing the white dots if it gets big and red like a bigger face pimple with white puss in it it could be an infected hair or just a penal pimple either way you need to be more clean and take a shower every day and DO NOT MASTERBATE especially on your penis once this is gone you can masturbate again but not as much less than half then what you did before and don't masturbate more than once a month

O my god I'm so f***** happy I've had these things since the 6th grade and I've never told anyone about them. I thought it was an STD when I took my first health class and learned about STDs I thought I had one.. Until now 9:00 am Monday jan 20 2009.. It's my junior year of high school. And I've had some sexual experiences and worried if the girls would notice and say anything. I just called my mom crying being so happy telling her what I have and to get me a dr appointment. Damn.

If anyone has secrets research whats wrong with you then tell someone close to you.

there is a treatment for this condition. it can either be a cream which is called tretinoin gel which you can get from your doctor but you have to go and see him first. another is acne cream but it is only a preventant meaning that the spots will come back. finially there is the option of laser treatment but this costs alot bt it leaves no scars. hope this helps you all :-D

Hi guys,

I am medical student and hope I can help.

The "bumps" you are describing sound like something called ectopic sebaceous glands (as shown on the picture posted above).

They are normal small white bumps and all men have them on their scrotum and penis, they can appear anywhere but are most common at the base of the penis and the scrotum. On some people you can see them more easily than others but it's nothing to worry about.

Sometimes they may reduce in size as you end puberty, but not in all cases. You should not try to make them “go away.” Squeezing or picking at the bumps could lead to infection.

Things to watch out for are.... redness, itching or discharge (puss etc), if you experience these symptoms visit your GP to get them checked, otherwise just accept these bumps as normal.

For the past 6 hours, i have been trying to figure out two things about these little white pimple type bumps. I have had them for i don't know how long, but still am having some general concerns as apparently many other kids and adults are having. The only conclusions i have come across seem like there is no way to fully tell if this could be ectopic sebaceous glands, pearly penile papules, or even genital herpes. All i am looking for is a simple test i can even do to make sure its nothing that is going to prove harmful to my health... I will say that this forum was the most valuable one i have found so far, but i still have many many questions to ask in the dealings with these.

**Note - I'm almost looking for even something i can pick up at a store or just a simple home remedy, due to the fact that i have a part time job, am just going into college, and i thought it would be a good idea to move out of the house. Basically i have no money is the point, and i am really hoping for something i can do for cheap, but is still effective.

oh what a relief! i have had these for as long as i can remember, im 15 now. im just glad its not a STD! i have never had sex before but ive been putting off looking up what it was for fear of it being herpes.

i do think they look slightly weird and im wondering if anyone who has them if it has made any difference in their sex?

i would still love to get rid of them. is there any medication for it besides lazer surgery or whatever? will they just go away in time? will masturabating affect them at all?

So it appears or the scrotum too? That's what I have then. Thank you SO much for this information, you have no idea how glad I am to hear this. One thing, you say they can apepar anywhere, does the include the head of the penis aswell? I'm guessing yes because you just said penis and not shaft so you were probably meaning the whole thing anyway. If this is the case, I am SO relieved, I've noticed them a few years back, and I read they start becoming noticible through puberty so it's all adding up. Again, thanks so much for this information.

Hi,
I've had these since I can remember and I'm now 17. Been with my girlfriend for 2 years and I think she might know about it, but I have never spoke to her about it. We have sex daily, but she prefers not to perform oral sex on me as she trys to avoid it when she can, which makes me feel down as she might know about it, I try to hide my ding dong when its hard as thats when you can see them more. I guess if you're scared of having sex with this problem, just go for it and if she gives you sh*t just b***h slap her and leave, you'l find someone who likes abit of texture and friction down there. I went to the docs when I was young about it and he just said they were hair folicles and nothing to worry about, don't know if he was right or not. Hope they go!
Thanks.

they make you become very sensitive and buying desensitizing condoms will only burn. So you may be a "quickie" until u learn to deal with it. Had it sense i was 16. im now 20
