Well, I just looked online at what a frenulum of the penis is, and the chord I have IS the frenulum. Is the frenulum ever supposed to de-attach? So I'll never be able to freely pull the skin down all the way without pain?

Good, we now know exactly what you were talking about.

Unfortunately, no, the frenulum doesn't detach, ever. It can stretch a little and it can also tear.

See a urologist when you can, even if you have to wait until you're 18. They can help resolve this so you won't have pain.

That's weird though. I mean, does everyone who is uncircumcised have to see a urologist? Or do they put up with that frenulum chord? I can see sex being impossible with that little chord being there. And my brother has sex all the time with girls and he said that he has so problem with pulling the skin down all the way (I've talked to him about it). I know he never got it removed or saw a urologist....

The simple answer is, everyone is different. As you said, you have a lot of skin, some guys don't. Penises come in different sizes and shapes. Some frenulums are short, others longer.

Oh my god dude. Is seeing a urologist the ONLY option out of this? That's the LAST thing I wanna do. Can that really be the only way out of this? :(

In my opinion, yes. It is not a difficult procedure.

You can always leave it if you want, you won't hurt anything and you can always address it later if you want.

Will it hurt if I have sex? I think it will. That's why I want to get rid of it.

It may be uncomfortable for sure. If it tears, it'll hurt and then with the blood, be messy.

Hey, this is really awkward, but I am 18 years old. And I still have it attached, it was very awkward, cause i didn't have much sex ed at school, so when I was about to have sex, it just really really hurt, so I didn't go along with it, and I really do not want to go to some doctor about it

So what if you do have sex and you put a condom on without retatracting the foreskin, will it be painful during sex?

You don't need to retract your foreskin when you put on a condom it's simply a matter of choice of the individual and no it won't be painful having sex if you don't retract it before putting it on.
