I'm pretty sure that you have to wait awhile after the implantation bleeding to take a pregnancy test. While implantation is taking place, the pregnancy hormone hCG is not visible enough to show up on the home tests. I had unprotected sex around ten days ago and I am just now experiencing these symptoms...also not sure whether it is my period or implantation bleeding. I have taken a test and it came out negative. After doing some research I'm going to wait a week or so and then try another one.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you all 7 days before my period was due I had spotting jst a small amount of pink and turned to a browny colour that same nyt.. The next day there was nothing and then that night I had severe period like cramps worse then usual and bright red blood enough to have to use a pad but not like my normal period which usually is very heavy from day1 . Have had the with jelly like small clots now for2 days but it's gotten a little lighter. I also have slight pain in my lower back... My period usually lasts up to 7 days and I no this is not a normal one for me. What could this be I'm worried.. Please help or if someone has been through the same would be good to see the light :-) we need answeres...

Hello, my fiance and I started trying for a baby month  before last and I was showing some signs (sick to my stomach, vomiting, ect) before but  then i  spotted once in one week then again the next week then the week after i spotted again and it continued for a little while then after two days of that the blood started to become more and more red and then i bled like that a day and a half.  as soon as i stopped bleeding (well the next day that is)  i took a pregnancy test and it came up negative. so i figured we just didnt conceive and we were crushed. we decided to wait about three weeks and then started trying again at the beginning of this month and i have not had any  implantation bleeding or anything but as we neared the current date i slowly started getting light cramps and feeling a little sick not anything severe which i figure was just because. i have been using an ovulation tracker and it says to test on the 20th. i dont really know what i am asking exactly but i would really like to know if that happened to anyone else and they ended up pregnant or not. honestly i just want some form of help.. i have not had any children but i am desperate for answers. please help <3

I just want to tell yall what happened to me because I get so tired of seeing people who post that heavy bleeding can't possibly be implantation.  When I got pregnant with my daughter, it was only three or four days after ovulation.  I woke up that morning with horrible lower back cramps, it felt like labor, very painful.  Later around lunchtime at work, I went to pee and had a gush of red blood, so much that the water in the toilet turned red.  I was shocked, as my period wasn't due for another week and a half.  I assumed I must have had a very early miscarriage.  I put in a tampon and went about my day.  A few hours later, I took the tampon out, prepared to put in another, and it was completely dry.  No blood on it.  And I didn't bleed again for nine months.  You never know what your body will do when you get pregnant.  My other pregnancies had no implantation bleeding whatsoever.

Hi my last period was the 27th of march , i had sex on the 9th of april which was when i was ovulting i think , now 8 days before my next period i have started light pink bleeding , it has lasted 2 days and 2day is the 3rd day , i have had some niggling back pain , but other then that nothing eles , what do you think it is ?

Hi, I'm 23 years old and for the pass 3 months my bf and i been trying to have a baby. I have regular periods a 28 day cycle and i would bleed for 4 days. okay so my last two periods was every strange to me. i got my period on may 21 2012 and i bled heavy for the 4 day as normal. A day or two later my bf and i had unprotected sex then i started bleeding again and it lasted for bout a day or two, so all together i bled up to 6 days or so. i didnt bother me cause i thought that it was just extra blood due to the fact my bf and i had sex a day or two after my period. now speed up to my period i just had or what i think was my period jan 18 i was getting cramps especially on the lower right side of my abdomen. i went to the bathroom and whipped and sew this pink blood and i thought to myself that that was kinda odd, so i put on a pad and went about my day. a few hours later i went to use the restroom and it was this brown color you know like when your about to get off your period (remind you this still day 1) and there were hardly no blood on the pad and it stayed like that  for 2 days and on the 3rd day i completely stopped bleeding. this have never happen to me before i dont know if this is implantation bleeding or just a lite period. i need help!

I was wondering the same thing. And if you can have a heavy implantation is it at all possible to have clots? I am hoping I am pregnant as well and three days ago I woke up and had little brown specks in my underwear. Now today I am bleeding kinda heavy and havy some clots. My period was suppose to be in 1 week and 5 days. I had unprotected sex on the 9th because I was suppose to be fertile on that day. I am going to take a pregnancy test on my birthday on the 25th. Could this be my period or is it implantation bleeding?

Same here my breast are very tender and they never are with my period this time I started spottin brown a week before my period was due the got a little pinkish red. I'm usually regular so I'm wandering if I could be pregnant

Yes.. My cycle started on the 21st of August 2012...it ended on the 25th...then, on August 31st I had a light pink color in my female duscharge. The morning after, it was a brown color.now today on the 2nd of September, I still have a brown and Very dark red discharge..it isn't enough to be a regular cycle though so I'm really confused and nervous.

Ok girls i thought id be the bearer of good news! I ovulated late in my cycle, day 18. This was saturday 10th november, me and my husband had sex that night and he flew off abroad to work hours later. by tuesday night i started bleeding 3dpo, it got heavier like a proper period so i came online and checked out this page for info. By thursday it became lighter and this morning 6dpo and only 3dpi i got a positive digital pregnancy test, even though im still spotting. Good luck girls :-D

I have this same thing was hoping I was pregnant since my husband and I have been trying and had some symptoms like my other 2 pregnancies. But then started spotting yesterday then heavier today with cramps.My period is supposed to start in a week. Hoping everything works out.

I'm in a similar situation. My husband and I have been actively trying to conceive. My period was four days late when it started. The first 3 days of my period was light pink/ brown spotting only when I wiped. I am currently on the 4 day now. The flow has gotten a little heavier, enough to fill about a half a pad all day. The color is a red/rusty brown. I'm wondering if I could be pregnant. Should I test again or wait until the bleeding has stopped? Any advice?

hi i am new to this site. i was wondering if any 1 cud help me? i have been off the pill injection for 13months now the depo. and me and my partnert are trying for a baby. my menstrale cycle is 28days and my ovulation date to start testing is the 11th day but i am not ovulating. my period this month has been from the 6th of january to the 12th of januarly a normal 7 day bleed. i have been doing ovulation tests since and the control line comes up darker then the test line witch is a negative result i was sopse to be ovulating between the 17th and 22ndve started to spot light brown blood as if it was the start ov a period but i am not due to have a period till the 3rd of febuary. does any1 no why i am not ovulating and that i have started to spot brown blood. could this b another sign of ovulation or that i am already pregnant? but i have also been doing pregnancy tests and that r negative to i am  abit worried that i am not ovulating at all can any1 give me sum advice of januarry and nothing is showing that i am ovulating i test everyday in the morning at the same time and nothing every time. and today the 18th of january i have started to spot brown blood as if it was the start of a period but my period isnt due till the 3rd of febuary does any1 no why i am spooting  like this and why i am not ovulatibg i was wondering if the spotting could be another sign of ovulation or if it could mean that i am pregnant already? i have been also doing pregnancie test and thay are also negative to please help
