I am on Endep 10mg daily and it worked after 24hrs. Endep is a mood stabalizer used at much higher dosage so 10mg only works on hyperhidrosis and as a urinary bladder relaxer and sphincter strengthener

Hey so I've been having this problem for about a year and a half noe. I'm a massage therapist. It started a little over a year ago a little after i had started massage school (you sweat a lot when you massage) so I thought it was just from the increase in exercise. But then i realized when i graduated it still wouldn't stop. It wasn't too bad so I didn't mind to much, but I just recently gained 28lbs in the past 6months (temporary stopped massage because of injury, just started massage again after physical therapists gave me the ok, i gained weight because I was used to eating 4 big meals a day while massaging because it was very physically demanding btw I wasn't overweight did a lot of other physical activities hence why I are so much long boarding, surfing, camping, hiking) and now it has gotten so bad that occasionally I'll get rashes from the moisture. Not a full blown rash but just redness and itchiness between my thighs. Anybody else have it increase to this bad? I'm thinking imma have to use baby powder. Has this worked for anyone else?

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I am 42 and have been dealing with this issue for about 10 years. Your story is identical to mine.

Read all 11 pages of this thread, glad to know I'm not alone, but it sucks so many people are struggling with this :(

This started in my early 20s. The worst part about it all is the struggle to stay dry, or I get yeast or bacterial infections! I moved to a more humid state two years ago, and have had to get treated for yeast infections every few months :( Now a days I constantly carry multiple pairs of extra underwear in my purse, and will often change underwear in public bathrooms while I'm out, in an effort to stay dry. Then change underwear and pants when I get home, as my pants will be damp too. I use panty liners when I can't change, or between changes. If I'm a situation where I have neither, I fold over toilet paper and put it in my underwear in an attempt to stay dry.
I've worn cotton underwear for many years, I even wear mostly cotton pants and skirts (all dark colors), avoid tight fitting clothing (no leggings or tights for me! yeast infection central!), all that. I try to find positions to sit and stand in that have my legs apart, in an effort to allow more air flow. I usually have to change underwear around 4 times a day.
Doesn't matter if I was going for a walk, working out, or just sitting through an appointment or meet up with friends- underwear becomes damp. Even if the rest of me is chilly, somehow it's still hot and sweaty down there! I just try to make sure I don't stay damp for more than an hour, or a infection can come about. I sleep naked in an effort to air things out.
It's odd, because other than the vulva area, I hardly sweat! Even in high heat or working out, I don't sweat near as much as others appear to. But down there it's damp year round, active or sitting. I don't think weight has to do with it- when it started I was thin (about a size 3 I think), and I'm a size 8 now (but considered overweight).

I encourage you all to not use any washes for down there, or anything with scents, as it irritate the skin, throw off pH, and throw off good/bad bacterial balance and make things worse. I just wash with water and a clean hand, which is what all gynos recommend. After sex I will use a tiny bit of non Sodium Lauryl Sulfate soap (SLS is a common irritant for vulva parts) because I need a silicone based lube, which doesn't come off with just water. For those times when I need to wash down there but not take shower, I fill a cup with lukewarm water (cool in summer), I sit on the toilet, and pour the water over my parts with one hand, while cleaning with the other. Then I dry off with a fresh washcloth. After that and after showers I will often dry my parts more with the cool setting on a hair dyer. (Make sure not to hold it too close! Forcing air up the vagina can cause an embolism!)

I take RepHresh Pro B Feminine Probiotic Supplement to try to help discourage yeast infections. Acidophilus and other common live cultures found in dairy (like yogurt etc) are to promote digestive and other benefits, but are not specific to vaginal health. I did the research and found the strains that are supposed to be specific to vaginal health, and found RePHresh Pro B. I only take them every other day or so (unless a yeast infection is brewing or in full swing) because they're expensive sadly :/ Also this is by no means a cure all. Even with all the research, probiotics are still largely an educated shot in the dark. There's just so much we don't know about how all that works.

I was on oxybutin/Ditropan XL for about a year for a condition called Interstitial Cystitis, and sadly that didn't stop the sweating down there. I have GAD so experimented with Xanax and Klonopin that was prescribe to me, to see if when I took it I sweat less- nope, still the same.
I just asked my Gyno about this last month, after years of issues. He said he's knows about Hyperhidrosis but hasn't heard of it in the vulva/vaginal area. Now thanks to this thread I know not only that am I far from alone, but there's a name for it- Hexsel's Hyperhidrosis! I have another appointment coming up, and am going to ask about possibly trying Drysol or Hypercare. Though apparently the side effects can be rough :( I may ask my dermatologist about it, as it's considered a skin condition and they might know more. They can apparently use Botox as a way to help stop sweating, though it's temporary :/ My husband also wants to get a new car here soon- going to see if I can talk him into getting one with cooling function on the seats.

I experience similar symptoms to what previous commenters have complained of. I have two things that have helped considerably with the odor produced from excessive sweating in my lady parts as well as the sweat itself. I purchased the female Body Mint tablets from Amazon. I take the recommended dose of two per day- one in the morning, one at night and have noticed that the musty odor from down below and my underarms is a thing of the past. To combat the sweating I tried the Sweat Block wipes that I also purchase from Amazon. They are designed to reduce excessive underarm perspiration and I am not sure on the risks of using them on the outer vaginal area but I was desperate for something that works and they definitely work for me. I don’t use them regularly because that is a sensitive area and I’m always a bit afraid of using random products down there but if I know that I will be in close quarters with others or out and about on a hot day, I will prepare for the sweat with these. Both items can be a bit costly to buy regularly but if you suffer from hiperhydrosis anything that works can be worth the investment. Good luck all!
