I have the same problem. Itching on/under my shoulder blade. When it’s not itching, the area is numb. I have 3 bad discs in my back and my spine has a bit of a curvature. I’m almost positive it’s related. The itching and numbness are caused by nerve damage emanating from the spine damage. My hands and feet also get numb or tingling with sensations of pin pricks and/or bites. I believe it’s all due to nerve damage. I believe I have neuropathy. The itching of the upper back is a form of neuropathy.
