i've had the same problem for a while as well as mild facial acne, and i just saw my dermatologist. i was prescribed duac-it's a combination of a gentle cleanser and a medicated gel that has peroxide. it's kind of strong, it cleared up my facial problem areas in less than three weeks.
it hasn't helped very much on my chest as my problem there is cystic.i usually only get one bump thing at a time. he said it could be stress or an allergy.
try switching off of your perfume/cologne (or spray it only on your wrists. that's what i do) and wearing breathable fabrics.
...and for the love of god, don't don't don't don't DO NOT scratch.
best of luck.

I have this same problem on my chest. The pimples are very big and they itch like crazy i was the area every day but it doesn't seem to work. Is it possible it could be infected?
No, i don't think it is because of stress. i also have the same problem. i've consult a doctor and she said it may because of the shampoo you use. try not run the water on your body when shampoo. and use mild soap like cetaphil, wait for 10 to 15 mins then wash it off.
I have consulted with a doctor & he told me that it is because of the dandruff problem. he suggested me dandruff treatments
Same thing, massive pimples on my chest and upper back. Massive things, I've popped some of them (which kills) but they come back. I've tried cleanser products with Benzoyl Peroxide, which works on my face, but not on these monsters.
it happens because either u dont wash that area as much as you think you do. another reason might be is that you dont let it breath also u probably get shirts that cover it. also another reason maybe sadly, that hair might be growing in that place that one thing i would recommend is that u wash it and c if new ones dont pop up and da reason you get scars is because you pick at it , dont. its makes its worse . my doctor gave me these pills and a cream called differein and trust me it works ghope i answered your questions
i've been getting some hairs on my chest, and plucking/waxing them out, this causes the pimples to come, how can i stop them if i don't want to have chest hair?
i also have this problem until my mum brought this product for me called

its acne. ive had it for about 10 years now. im 26. i myself was worried about it until i went to countless doctors and 2 dermatologist and they all said it is acne. the derms offered to put me on accutane (its a very strong antibiotic acne treatment) but it was a bit expensive at the time. maybe ill revisit a derm and deal with this finally. also my brother had it when he was in high school and he was put on antibiotics (not sure if it was accutane) and he was completely cured. he has never had any acne breakouts more than the normal once in a few months pimple.
lucky thing its on my back and chest and not my face. i used to have moderate acne on my face but now i use palmer's "skin success even complexion" soap & neutrogena "on the spot cream" everyday. i am yet to try proactive. also now proactive has a new product specially designed for acne on the chest and back but this does not kill the problem. it only clears up the spots and with continuos daily use it will prevent any outbreaks. but if u stop using proactive the breakouts starts back.
the decision is this:
daily treatment for acne - proactive
permanent solution with 1 or 2 (6 months period) antibiotic treatment - go see a derm (they probably put u on accutane)

Don't know the cause for pimples that seem to be invading my chest and itches in the most inappropriate time. One thing for fact, as sure as I am that the sun did rise this morning I know that the moment I put my medicine on the next few seconds all of the itching go away. I was prescribe this medication by my doctor a few months ago and so far the only thing that keeps me from irritating them more with the scratching : CLINDAMYCIN PH 1% GEL GRE
i started gettin a few of these too lately. I noticed they started around the same time i started growing chest and back hair i clean my chest and some of my back with rubbing alcohol, it doesnt completely stop it but it keeps it under control.
I too have the same thing, but mine doesn't itch ALL the time. It does get inflamed once in a while, and i have a few big ones that hurt worse than ever. i have been using cotizone gel but it stopped working, any ideas?
Hey I struggled with acne for years. I had the worst case of acne my doctor had ever seen and have the scars to prove it. I took pills for 7 years until they finally went away. First of all, if you are between 12 - 18 and going through puberty, acne will come and go and be worse for some than others. What happens with acne is that your skin is oily and collects dirt and grime easily. This forms blackheads which form pimples. These pimples are extremely painful I know, my back is still sensitive to touch. It really sucks but there are only a few things you can do. One is to try to pop the blackheads to prevent pimples from growing. Two is to buy acne cleanser, preferably with 10% benzoyl peroxide (make sure you apply with your hands and scrub it in well). Clean and clear continuous control is the best. You may also experience a burning sensation. Other than that you need to see a dermatologist and they may prescribe pills for you to take. Ask about tetracycline or doxycycline. I took both and they are good for mild acne and you will see results within a month or so. I wouldn't use any topical cream without 10% benzoyl peroxide. In my experience with back, chest or thigh acne, it is too severe for creams that do not contain this. It dries out the skin, and helps treat the acne very effectively. If it is severe and painful and EVERYWHERE on your back like mine was, check out acutane, septra or other medications prescribed by the dermatologist. Other than medications prescribed by the doctor, severe acne will not subside with regular over the counter topical creams. See a dermatologist or you will just have to wait it out.
accutane will take it away, I know from experience. It takes a while and dries out your skin but it will take it away almost guaranteed. If you are suffering badly like I was, it is worth the money. Believe me, it works miracles. If it is not severe and bothering you too much, ask about tetracycline.
all i got to say is use cortisone 10 cream the intensive healing brand. it works amazing it took mine away in two days. i had same thing. just try it i swear by it. put wherever the bumps are.
