Hi. This may or may not be helpful. I want to say i had the LEEP procedure about 3 years ago. My doctor, which was the same as my moms gyno who she trusted, told me i had non cancerous HPV. I didnt really want the sugery but felt almost forced into it. Recovery was uncomfortable and i never really had an issue with ph or smelly discharge, but years down the road its almost unbearable to me. To me it makes sense because your body is naturally supposed to have a certain level of bacteria and take care of itself down there. Removing and scarring a part of it shouldnt have been a good option for me. I may just be bitter because in hindsight i wouldnt have considered it. I never went back and am looking for a new doctor on my health insurance. I would like to know the truth because i have been sexually active sense but no other symptoms explain what im dealing with as an std. Sometimes i get phantom pains thinking about the surgery. So from my point of view if this is an option to not get this done i would get second and third opinions and then realize as downplayed as this procedure is it can be life changing. I would choose to remain not sexually active until i met a life partner or husband that is okay with a non cancerous form of hpv. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but i think the whole thing is BS and i shouldve opened my mouth and said no from the getgo.
I had a LEEP procedure done after my second child. It wasn’t painful at all. I just wish I would have been more informed with what could come after. After I successfully carried my third child to full term after a LEEP procedure.. no hospital would admit me because I was only dilating to 1cm.. I never once thought about scar tissue causing it, even though having a LEEP procedure was in my file. I was sent home from the hospital only to have my husband call 911 two hours later because I was bleeding. I had two children before this so I knew I was in active labor despite what the tests and drs said. I had my last child (my husband had a vasectomy done before our third child was born) in an ambulance while my husband and 2 other children were in a car driving behind it. My cervix couldn’t dilate because of the scar tissue so when my daughter needed to come through, it ripped open, which caused the bleeding and she came right out after. Sorry for the detailed description... just forewarning in case this happens to anyone else and I truly hope it doesn’t :(

I have one coming up. I'm scared. I am also 37 no kids.
oh wow this is exactly what currently going through!! I even started having period like bleeding. The exhaustion part is also something Im dealing with.
Just had mine done today !! Exactly how mine went today . The dizziness is no joke than almost fainting !! Took me about 30 mins to feel better to drive myself home !! The pain is not too bad and it's done in 15 mins . And yes, it's made me feel extremely exhausted and nervous feeling afterwards .
They did a topical anesthetic on me and I felt everything I went 5/3/2018 my doctor didn't tell me anything about these side affects
My sister had keep done about a month ago and she is now having severe pain in her entrance of her Vagina and thighs and butt. After many doctor appointment and investigating on the Internet we believe this is nerve damage. You are the first person that I have seen so far say you have nerve damage from this. Can you please tell me more?
The pressure in the bum region is getting to me. I jus had the procedure done yesterday
I had my LEEP procedure earlier today, and it wasn't bad at all. I feel okay now, but was wondering do you gain weight after this procedure?
I had Leep done 3 weeks ago. I still have cramps and bleed. I've lost a kilo since the op. I'm diabetic and it's affected my sugar levels. Is this normal?
