sounds like most of you have the herpes virus (HSV-1), like me.  i agree that if i apply cold sore cream asap when i first feel that painful tingle of an impending cold sore, often i can prevent it from erupting & it will disappear.

the other thing i've found is that ice applied directly, asap, often works too at stopping them coming up.

don't forget these dreadful things are sexually transmissible, & you can pass them on by kissing!

try some cold sore cream and use it for about 5 days see if that helps and if it does it could just be a cold sore otherwise if that doesn't work go to your gp when it next comes up.

Not everybody has it to where they just pop up. For those of us who KNOW what causes it and its only one. It resembles a bite mark. My 1 year old (experienced the same with my daughter) loves to take his little fingers and grab for my teeth, pinch my lips, scratch my gums, etc. Everytime my kids pinch my lip, it is certain that this lil bump will pop up over the next day or so. With my daughter I did the peroxide method and it was cool within a week or so. Anybody know of anything faster for THIS cause.

i got a cold and how i sneezed when i wiped myself above the lips to wipe i just started to hurt the next day i woke up and above my lips was all blisters and that stuff.             please i beg if you know how to cure this please tell me :-| please

It could be a mucous cyst.. they start from a lip bite and can be cronic

It happens in the summertime because the sun is a trigger for cold sores. Always use a lip balm with sunscreen.

I have the same problem as.everyone on this topic.I was reading through everyones posts and added it all up.the things on my lips were caused by bacterial spreading from the lipbalmbs. I always use 4 different lipbalms a day And i always put too much on and i always share with my friends. In conclusion I think I caught lip thing from friends

Vaseline helps!!! It takes about 5 days to completely go away, but it really does work. I'm alergice to everything except Vaseline when it comes to applying to my lips. But as long as I use Vaseline with a little lip stick or lip gloss then its ok. Saturday I used lipstick, but didn't use Vaseline and Sunday my lips had little blisters. But I know Vaseline will dothe trick and so I went out and bought some more vaseline. Hopes this help.

hi after i used my lipstick i didn't get blisters but it felt like there was a rash there i guess i'm allergic to whats in the lipstick
