My big thing here is if any of you ladies have iregular cycles, or cycles that are longer than 36 days or your cycles get further and further apart, or you notice excess body hair, or if your mother had fertility or hormone problems. If you are also over 30 or 35 you should get your fertility checked if you havent had kids or have been trying for about 6 months. You should see a OBGYN about it.

I am 32 and noticed I always had a lot of hair. (a sign of a hormone imbablance or ovulatory disfuction) I thought it was cuz my brothers were hairy. Before DH and I TTC my cycles got further and further apart till I didnt have one for 90days. I had gone to an OBGYN and she told me I had to wait a year. I'm 32 and aint got time to futz around. I went to my family Dr and he didnt seem concerned either. So I dropped him and signed up as a new patient, then had my records transfered there. I went to my DH's Dr and he recomended a fertility specialist and a friend of mine recomended one too. The guys wife had fertility issues and he had done many studies on the subject. I went to the fertility specialist and knew what he was doing and seemed passionate about the subject. I wax and lasered my hair off but he asked about it even tho I never told him he knew it was a problem I delt with. He wanted to wait till my 14th day to do a folicle scan. My af never came so I called and was called back with a perscription for provera, to start my period and clomid to help me ovulate. I am going to get scaned and my blood work done to see what the results are. He might up the dosage till we get the results we need. We shall see.

If your Dr wont do what you ask or set up the tests you think you need, go get another Dr.
Seek a second opinion.

Here is my story! If anyone has advice or a similar situation, it would be wonderful to hear. My husband and I have been trying to concieve for a year or so. Now when I say try, we aren't on a set time, we just have sex when we want it, but using no protection. I knew I might have trouble getting pregnant because I don't have a period the same time every month. So I visited my OB and he suggested I try a little more and then we will rule some issues out. He did a pelvic exam, a coloscopy (NOT COLONSCOPY), and checked the ovaries (Which are doing great) everything turned out fine. He suggested since he did a progestrone test before Clomid was prescribed, it was a 1.4. That shows no ovulation. He prescribed 50mg of Clomid on days 3-5. Had a few night sweats and headaches, but other then that good. He followed with a progestrone blood test and the 50mg of Clomid went to 1.8. Which also indicates I didn't ovulate. So again, he put me to 100mg. I didn't have much of any side effects. I did have increased cervical mucas (but nothing crazy) for about less then a week. After the time allowed, I went in for another blood test and my progestrone level shot up to 16.90 which showed I ovulated!!! He was very excited because it exceeded the expectations he would like to have for starting to get pregnant and carrying it full term. I had after (NOW knowing the symptoms) ovulation, breast tenderness for about two weeks and mild cramping. Although he didn't want me to get my hopes up, but he said don't mistaken pregnancy symptoms for menstration symptoms. So I didn't, but hopefully thought I was pregnant. Well exactly 30 days from the last period, I started. I am now back on 100mg of Clomid and am doing anything and almost imaginable to make sure we have a successful month. I am worried my 100mg won't work this time. Once I ovulate at 100mg of Clomid will I continue with that mg until success? I just want to start my next chapter and am trying not to stress at all, but I do think from time to time about the possibilities.

I am in the same exact boat...I have been taking Progesterone to help induce a period (preivous to starting the drug I hadn't had one in 2 years) this is round 4 with the Progesterone and will be my 3rd and final round of Clomid before my doctor trys something else. I started month two on Clomid at 50 mg when it came to day 21 my blood test showed my estrogen level was still REALLY low. Month 3 my doctor bumped me up to 100 mg, I had myself convinced that I was pregnant and was beside myself when I found out that my estrogen level was even lower this month. This month the have again bumped the Clomid up to 150 mg and this is as high as my doctor will go. I am still hopefull that the drug will work. Good luck to you and your husband.

I don't believe you were to take clomid days 5-7 that's only 2 days? Clomid is taken for 5 days - 1-5 ,3-7,4-8 or 5-9. ...And to the lady buying clomid on line ...I really would not do that .When on clomid you should be closely watched my a Dr. you really should not be self med. The last thing is infertility is Not covered by MOST ins. my husband and I paid over 7,000 for me to have a tubal reversal done .Then the expences of flying over 800 miles to have the surgery. Babies are far from cheap and if you can't afford to get pregnant you most likely will be unable to afford the child. Sad to say in my ttc I have seen more women get preg that did not want to or had no money or was a teen mom ....Wishing luck to those of you that are ttc and your hearts are 100% involved . Baby Dust TO YOU!!!

Gday,

How are you going i have pcos to, im 24 and just found out im pregnant with my second bub.

I fell with my first caitlyn all on my own she just happened and when she was about 6 months old we decided we would try for another.

.After about 8 months i decided to go see a doctor and found out i had pcos. I was devastated!

Then we had a death in the family ( my husbands twin brother) so that put things on hold for a while.

I Started on Clomid in March the first cycle i did not ovulate so obviously that cycle was a right off.

I got my period on day 28 witch was a first for me lol so i started my second round of clomid in April .. i went for my day 10 scan and there didnt seem to be any follicles there :(  i went for my day 21 blood test and yep came back i had not ovulated so once again i thought the second month was a right off but then my period was late.

I called the Gyno and he sent me for another blood test witch came back that i had ovulated but really late in my cycle so i was thinking ohhh *** i have missed it.

But then my period still didnt come and my boobs were sore so i thought ok ill do a test and guess what it was possitive.

So im about 5 weeks and have a scan in 2 weeks for an accurate due date.

All up it took 18 months  to fall as my first just turned 2 so i am very happy.

Good luck and i hope clomid works for you as it did for me.

if you are trying to get pregnant and think u are infertile you really should be visiting your dr clomid is a prescription only drug , it is soo unsafe to buy via the internet u never know what you could be puttin into ur body , possibly ingredients that eventually do make u infertile so as that clomid will not work for you. silly idea buying clomid without a scrip go see your dr !! by the sound of the message u left u are trying to get pregnant but what about a partner ? do they know ? dont buy online and let some innocent guy fall into a trap for god sake when will people take things like this seriously !
