I hope it is OK to ask a question for someone else on here? It;s my mother in law and she knows that I am posting here for her, for what it's worth. My mother in law is a diabetic and has been clinically obese for most of her adult life. She lost a lot of weight in 2009, and now "only" has 10 pounds left to go, which I am sure says enough about how overweight she used to be, LOL! She wants to do it fast. Do you have any ideas for her? Thanks so much!
I am not sure if it is medically responsible to lose weight really quickly for a person who suffers from diabetes. If you mother in law is serious about getting and staying healthy, and for whatever reasons is having difficulties in shedding the 10 pounds you have mentioned, then I strongly advise that she consults her health care provider before going ahead with any weight loss experiments. For diabetics, so much more than just weight is at stake, and she has to remember that at all times.
