I have read the post and am so glad others have similar symptoms.
My problem is: Once in a while, like every other month, it will last about 3 days of : .. When I wake up it feels like I have a large brick in my abdomen. It is heavy, which goes towards my back. I get up and walk carefully to the bathroom. After walking/standing it goes away in about 5 mintues. I don't know if it is a full bladder that pushes on my female organS? LIke every other month my ovary does something? My doctor said she didn't see any cysts. I had a rectocele and cystocele done.. and this is still happening.
ANyone know the answer?

Have you had any follow up and determined what is wrong. I have the exact same thing wrong with me. it only occurs at night time (when I am trying to sleep).

Some women can actually present physical symptoms of ovulating. This is not your period but the time in between. It is pretty rare but it's possible that you are displaying strong symptoms of this.

I have had the same type of chronic cramping in my abdomen and lower back, mine is my upper right and lower abdomen and has been going on for about 3 yrs now. I have had numerous blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds, upper GI, been on medications and tested for various things such as Celiac, ulcers, gall stones...all my doctors say it is Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I'm still not convinced. After reading your posts i'm going to ask my doc to check for ovarian cysts to be sure. IBS can't be tested for though, it's only found by testing for and eliminating other problems. I would suggest to all of you with this pain to ask your doctor about this just in case. Hope this helps.

I too have had abdominal pain for over 2 years now I had an ultrasound and it showed nothing as well as a urine analysis and blood work, and everyone tells me nothing is wrong. and that i just want pain pills ( I will have you know that the last time i took something stronger than advil was the day after i had my daughter via c-section)But my problems did not occur until i was in labor Dec 2005 with my son, i pushed for 2 and a half hours to no avail, and he was delivered via emergency c-section. and i had the abdominal pain since he was born, then to my surprise I was pregnent soon after with my daughter who was born march 2007 via c-section (i have small pelvic bones) and i had my tubes tied. and since her the pain in my abdomen occures about 2 weeks a month but there is some real intence pain once a month (you guessed it ovulation) and it hurts so bad and then i feel really sore for a couple days. on top of general abdominal soreness(if that is a word) I now experience pain in the abdomen about 12-24 hours after intercourse, why i do not know and my pcp and gyno do not either. If anyone else out there hurts like i do let me know, because i can't have any pressure on my belly at all, not even to play with my kids it feels like the are literally pushing all the way through me

I also had the same pain last year. None of the test came back showing anything. My obgyn decided to do a laparscopy to be on the safe side. That is when he found 4 cyst on my left ovary, and my right fallopian tube was infected and full of fluid. I also had lots of adhesions from prior c-sections. Well I have been pain free until this past month the pain is back. I have also had an endomitrial ablation a few years ago. I have not had a period with the exception of spotting about the size of a quarter for 3 years. This last menstraul cycle was back to the periods I used to have. The ablation average length of success is 2 years. the next step for me would be a hysterectomy. Good luck to all.

I have the same pains you laies have been experiencing.. I even went to the er on e nght to get a result of what was going on. Turns out I have ovarian cysts and That is why I am in so much pain.
I was told by the doctor that they apear aroun the time your horomones peak which is why you get them before or after your period. That if you take birth control that they will go away. Which I have not taken birth control as I am ttc but before I got pregnant( i miscarried) last april I had none and I iure it was because i was egular on birth control... Just thought i would tell you and as for having them surgcally removed. I am 19 and I ask about that the dr said they dont like to do that because it is a area which alot of scar tissue seems to grow. which could keep me from getting ppregnant again.. also could cause complications if i was to concieve as there may be to much tissue for the placenta to attach to my uterus. Thought That it may help you

I have been having similar problems to lots of you out there. About 2 months ago, I had 2 nights specifically that were terrible. The first night, I woke up early in the morning before my alarm with terrible pain in my lower "stomach" (felt like EXTREME hunger) and in my lower back (felt like EXTREME menstrual cramps but I wasnt on my period). I went to the bathroom and also took pain medicine. I went back to bed and just suffered through the pain till I fell asleep again. The next night, I went to lay down for bed and the exact pains came back INSTANTLY. I was up the entire night (no exaggeration, literally the whole night). I tried taking a warm bath, taking pain medicine, everything imaginiable and nothing helped lessen the pain. I went to the gyno a few weeks later and they did a pelvic exam, urine test, thought maybe it was endometreosis but they didnt find anything. So its been "dismissed" as just an episode of pain.

However, the past week I have been waking up early in the morning, like an hour before my alarm goes off with what feels like really bad cramps. I take naxproxen and go back to bed, just attempting to fall asleep through the pain. Today, I was laying in bed watching tv and I flinched weird which made my lower abdominal muscles HURT so bad, again like extreme cramps! The pain is unbearable! I have no idea what is going on!! I just want this to stop.

i too have had the same pains. my lower back is hurting from time to time...and my lower right side under my ribs have been hurting. plus i also have been expiriencing some abdomen pain too. it also burns to use the bathroom. i spoke to my mom(im only 14) and she said it sounds like either a stomoch ulcer..or a UTI(urinary tract infection). reading these other posts kind of scared me a bit. cuz some womens post i read said they had ovary cysts. so yay for me. anyway i just hope its nothing serious.
