sounds like you might have a hernia in there that is pushing on the sciatic nerve.....I'm an RN and had a patient who needed a walker and couldn't walk and after the hernia surgery she was fine...just FYI

Good lord this is like reading my own medical chart. Mine started as a sharp twinge in my lower left abdomen that would get worse after bowel movements on and off over ten years ago. It got worse, and I had a colonoscopy 6 years ago, where they found a polyp that was tested precancerous, but no celiac and no diverticulitis, everything else normal. I also had constipation which was bad at times but only a few times a year. Three years later I was found to be severely constipated. They did another colonoscopy and upper GI, everything was found normal, no polyps. I was told "women just get constipated like that" and told to take Miralax every night. That helped for awhile and once I normalized I stopped it. Six months later I went to the urgent care with severe pain in both my right and left lower abdomen, radiating to my back, and even some rib pain. I was found to be extremely constipated, and was told to do enemas and then resume Miralax. Again "this is a common female problem." I take Tramadol for restless leg syndrome, and have read that even though it is not a true opioid, it can sometimes cause opioid induced constipation. Plus I've read that Miralax taken daily can cause the colon to become lazy. For the past few months the pain just gets worse, stays mostly to the left, but radiates down my left thigh and around to my lower back. Some days are worse than others, and every once in awhile I'll go for a whole day without pain (woohoo!). In the past two years I've seen two OB/GYNs thinking it was either endometriosis or ovarian cancer (history of it in my family) and everything was normal, been to 2 different GIs, scared of the possibility of colon cancer, both of whom told me it was just constipation, "normal for women" and that I'd need to take Miralax for the rest of my life, been to the ER twice for the pain, where they did CTs with and without contrast and found nothing but a fatty liver, and been to urgent care and PCP several times, with NO certain results. I've gone gluten free, but it didn't help. Until I started looking up online and finding people like me, I honestly thought I was crazy. I'm not sure where I'll go from here, but at least I feel less alone. I am scared to go to anymore doctors because I don't want to be looked at YET AGAIN like I'm a hysterical woman.

I had all those test done. At first said I had a muscle strain. But ended back in ER two days later. Ending up having yeast infection in large intestine. Gave me antibiotics and after taking for 14 days pain went away.

Could it be Pancreatitis??

I've been experiencing the exact same thing ever since I got out of hospital with Crohn's and was recouperating and sedentary most of the time, and hence not exercising etc. So I think what you said is definitely true!
I'm going to ask for an MRI and try to do some pilates or something to try to strengthen everything as this pain is quite excruciating. Good luck to you guys. I hope you all get answers and feel better soon :-)

You are not alone. I was told that Doctors have no idea why this happens although so many complain. At least the Dr was honest. But they need to figure this out because we are not crazy and we suffer in silence because we feel like we are whining or sick....again. Cannot commit to anything because your always sick. I have found xanex or benzos to alleviate the pain but the doctors dont want to give ot to you. Or stop you so you dont get addicted. Coming off benzos is hell on earth. So unless you can take it as prescribed and not ve shut off you have a shot at some relief. Question, does anyone else consume a lot of sugar ? coffee ? I WAS told it could be the amount of sugar intake ? Also an insomniac so no sleep pain all the time makes for a dibilitating life. Heating pads help but cant walk around w one and it only helps a little. Distended stomach 60 lbs of extra weight constipation. Manual manipulation to rénové bowel rocks. ? Very painful to get little relief. Im gonna try to kick the sugar coffee drink more water change my diet get tested for allergies to foods. Yawn when eat crackers, chips. Or when throwing up. Im tired of living like this. So Im gonna push thru get bloodwork tests and Ill let you know if I find out anything that works. Feels like Im full of Toxic Waste . I wish you well have your spouse read our responses so maybe he can see you are not crazy lazy depressed for no reason .YES FEELING LIKE THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY SUCKS
