Hi ladies. I see most of these posts are over a year ago. However, I read this prior to my diagnosis and wanted to follow up. I too had a lump on my right labia majora that was hard and painless. It was there a few months and I finally got it checked out and removed. It turned out that it was an epitheliod sarcoma/vulvar cancer. I underwent further surgery last week, a partial vulvectomy and removal of 5 lymph nodes. Fortunately, no further cancer was found and my prognosis is excellent. Please don't assume it's nothing. Caught early it's curable.

Please could I ask, was your lump movable? Did you have any other symptoms?

I too had a hard lump in the outer lip of my right labia majora. It would become painful occasionally and was checked out by a GP who advised to return if it became painful again. Just occasionally it would but I am sure was connected to my wearing my favourite pair of tight jeans or fancy underwear. It always seemed to flare up and them calm down and was rarely painful over about 6 years. It started off as about the size of a lentil and when bathing or showering I felt at times I could almost turn it over but tended to leave well alone. However when my doctor examined it and would palpate or squeeze the lump I nearly hit the roof !
At times as it grew bigger it annoyed me but I ignored it unless it hurt a little. It went from the size of a lentil to a pip shape and size - about an orange pip shape and size. It was definitely not a Bartholins cyst - that was ruled out by my doctor. It also seemed to be moving towards the edge of the lip of the right labia majora so clearly was not attached to the skin within.
Last week while soaking in a hottish bath I checked as normal and was surprised to find it had moved to the very edge of the skin - imagine my surprise when as I lightly touch it out it came - leaving no soreness or bleeding. On inspection it was a pale colour and felt hard at first but when touched it was clear it was made of layer upon layer of a cheesy material which smelly not unpleasant but slightly musty. Sorry if this is too much information but it may help someone. I would not recommend squeezing as mine was not filled with pus as such - it was almost like how a pearl is formed for want of a better analogy. I just put it down to the amazing power of the body to recognise something as not exactly right and to expel it in it's own good time. I did to keep the "pearl" for biopsy as the doctor (in England) had ruled out anything sinister. Hope this helps you, but would definitely get medical input.PS. I am 66 now.

I had a baby in sept, and i had stitches on each side of my urithra, since then I have gotten a very hard purple lump right where the stiches were(or close to them) it rises when I get my period and isn't painful but very uncomfortable, then a few days after my period it goes down? It's not open there's no head it's just a very hard ball feeling lump. Anyone know what it could be??

What antibiotics were you on? Dose/Name/Frequency?

See a doctor. It might be a (UTI) urinary tract infection. You'll need antibiotics. It's very common don't worry

Hi,
I have a small round stone-like mass deep in the skin of the labia majora, which can only be felt if you hold the skin closest to my pelvic bone. It's very hard like a marble. It doesn't feel like a cyst, and theres no way of seeing it because it's so deep. I don't know what it is, it doesnt hurt but not sure if i should get it checked out or if it is a cyst.

ALWAYS PEE AFTER HAVING SEX!!!!! I feel like this isn’t tamed about enough but you should always pee after having sex. This gets rid of any semen or fluids that could have gotten into the urethra or around it that could potentially cause a UTI. Even if there was no semen involved or it’s just masturbation you should always pee after!!!!!
