About 3 weeks ago I had pretty bad bronchitus and I was constantly coughing hard. At work I was coughing and got a sudden sharp pain in my lower left abdominal region, I only felt the pain afterward when I coughed or sneezed. I went to the Doctor to make sure it wasn't a hernia. He didn't feel anything just tenderness in the area and suggested it was a muscle strain. He offered a prescription to get an ultra sound to rule anything out. After about a week and a half the pain went away but I still feel tenderness and I have had a superficial oval shaped firm lump I can feel on or near the muscle. It isn't getting larger and I can't see it, I can only feel it with my fingers. Has anyone ever expirienced this or may have an idea of what it could be? %-)
