lump underneath skin on vagina

Okay, so I'm 14 and have never had sex, this morning I went to change my clothes and I felt a sore spot on the outer part of my vagina. It's not neccisarially a 'lump under the skin' it doesn't move it just hurts whenever touched. I thought it might be a pimple, but when i tried to pop it nothing happened, it's swollen and looks like a burn almost. I'm too scared to go to my mom or the doctor please help I'm woried...

Hi there! I have had this thing called a Bartholin cyst since i was 16 years old and only started inflaming when i was 21. It is nothing to be embarrassed about it has nothing to do with sex. (sort of) What happens is a duct in your vaginal wall may be blocked. The fluid that is created in your vagina for sex is blocked and creating a cyst. It can be painful, very painful. and when i had the wrong doctors and looked up on google what was wrong with me it was very scary because no one knew about it. if you're sexually active it will make it worse because the fluid will keep producing but will build up because it is blocked. Use epsom salt in warm bath water and soak for 20 minutes to relive pain. Cook rice and put it in a zip lock bag to reheat and heat the area. Here comes the bad news.... all cases are different and may not be so sever but once u have this problem here is only one way to get rid of it. once u feel it coming on, go to the gyno immediately. do not wait because you are embarrassed (That is waht I did and I paid for it!!). The only way to get rid of it, is to drain it. that means cutt it open. if any other doctor tells u to take antibiotics and "see if that helps" or "see if it goes away" it WILL NOT. do not wait and waste your time because the bigger it gets the more painful it is to cutt open. this is why i say GO NOW WHILE IT IS SMALL. I had the cyst expand and get so big that i was taken to the emergency room 3 separate times and was so big i could not walk. The procedure is done while u are awake and u feel everything(unless it is caught in the beginning) . For anyone feeling this bump go to the doctor and say you need to get your barlothin gland drained! They will use Novocain to numb the area. If it is small, you will not have a lot of pain. if it is already hurting you, take 2/3 couple percaset or vicodin before going into the gyno. I do not want to scare you because when i came online to see what was wrong i was scared sh*tless. You are not alone. many woman have to go thru this and feel this pain. have a family member or friend come with you to hold your hand and ask for support! this is a sever medical condition that no one knows about or talks about(becasue people feel too embarrassed to talk about it!). you will want support and love just like any other health condition or disease. You can get thru this just treat it correctly. what I had to do is get a surgery called marsupulation. My barholin cyst enlarged 4 times in one year meaning i had to get it cutt open on 4 different occasion which was practically HELL. if you need to get it cutt or drained more than once or twice in a year, talk to a surgeon about marsiplation. they sew open the tube that is getting blocked so the fluid can flow thru. it took about 2 months recovery time and each procedure before took about 2 weeks to recover. there is still pain from the surgery when i have sex but it is 100,000 times better than dealing with the actual problem.

also one of my procedures i had to have a cathedar in the lip or my vagina for one whole month. Ask your doctor to do the cathedar the first time draining your cyst. if after this procedure it comes back, you will know for sure you need the marsipulation.

Ok, so I asked my mom about it because I have the same thing and I'm 13, she said there is a chance that it could be an ingrown hair or a pimple, she is not 100% sure but it at least helps I hope

Omg I have the same thing my cousin told me that I have cancer and i think that's too extreme I went to the doctors and they just pressed on it they said there is nothing to worry about he gave me some antibiotics but they didn't do anything I don't want to tell anyone I'm so scared tho but I'm too embarrassed
