I have this issue every time I quit smoking. But for me it's that I just don't eat that much for the first 4 days that I quit. (Sometimes I don't eat anything the first two days, which is terrible, but I can't hold anything down.) I sweat a lookout and since I only drink fluids, in guessing that's all that comes out. I do notice that even when I eat a bit more, I still have duahrea but it calms down. For me it starts going away on that fourth day, the thing that gets me the most is Nausea. That's one of the reason I smoke is because I just get very nauseous in the morning, I'm not pregnant but it just happens for years now and it has to do with me not eating right for a long time. I had an eating disorder for 4 years, and I would starve myself until 4pm after school. I wouldn't eat until 4 or 6pm and I would only eat once. So over time and after I quit doing that, I would start waking up and feeling sick and hungry and not eat still. Until about two or three years ago, I began taking better care of myself.

But Hope you have been doing well!

Medical marijuana is approved in many states for patients with Crohn’s disease and inflammatory bowel disease because it “calms the gut” by reducing intestinal motility. If you use marijuana heavily and consistently over a long period, your body will adapt to this effect by producing more enzymes to speed intestinal motility to counteract the effects of marijuana. If you gradually use less and less marijuana, you probably will not have any adverse symptoms. But if you go from heavy use to 0 use all at once, you can develop diarrhea for a week or so while your body adjusts to no longer having the motility slowing effect of THC but still having the extra enzymes you’ve been producing to counteract the THC.

You should be back to normal in 10 days or so. If not, go see a doctor.

Hey, I know this is probably too late for you to see but anyone else that may come across this that’s wondering the same thing. I also quit smoking for the first time in about 2 years because of an employment drug test, it’s day 3 right now and I’ve basically been glued to the toilet all day. I eat and drink plenty and healthy so I can only think that it’s a way of your body adjusting to not having a large amount of ThC circulating

I figure its some kind of detox because I get diarrhea if I don't smoke 1 day. It only lasts a day or two though. Also I've stopped smoking for 1 week and passed a piss test. However I am a rather lanky individual

Do your research. Marijuana "addiction" isn't a thing. Neither is withdrawing. That requires addiction. Oh sure, as it clears your system, you'll notice a few changes, namely difficulty sleeping. But that has to do with habits. If your body is used to have thc (et al) to fall asleep, you may find it more difficult to drift off without. Personally, I used to stare at my ceiling for hours waiting to fall asleep before I tried marijuana. I did have to quit 8 years later (court order to make tinkle in the cup) and sleeping was a HUGE problem the entire time. But again, that's more to do with my body than my body lacking a substance. And of course, the irritability. That's what is always cited as a "withdrawl". If you take a substance that, literally, one of the side effects is euphoria, and all the sudden cut that substance out completely, eliminating the euphoria your brain has grown accustomed to, ya, you'll get a little cranky.

Several people have stated they have the exact same problem, but non-anecdotely there is a ton written in medical journals and newspapers, so current readers of this thread are probably more aware than a year ago.. I use a lot of maijuana 50-70mg medical THC daily while on my period. After I stop taking it, I get hyper, insomnia, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and will vomit even a single bite of food. I don't intend on stopping because it fixes more problems than it causes, but I need to taper or something. The first time it happened, it was so bad I lost 50 lbs in about a month because even when I could eat, I just wasn't interested. My husband does it for recreation and has the same problem when dosage/frequency is altered. I never smoke, edibles only, and the store I buy from lists the pesticides used. Mine uses none. The candy my husband eats uses soap. I don't have an interest in recreational use of marijuana, or any other consciousness altering activity, just not my thing. I eat organic food and try to take care of myself. I think I'm just very sensitive to it, as are a subset of users. It's an incredible tool. There just needs to be more research and guidance for those who are sensitive. And, if you are in uniquely bad pain nausea and weightloss are better than immediate death that other pain killers are often responsible for. Best of luck everyone. You are not alone.

I've read there aren't many treatments for withdrawl symptoms of cannabis. Kind of just have to let it run its course and endure. However, look into Wim "IceMan" Hof's breathing techniques, it does help. For me it's helped tremendously with overall mental and physical health. It could probably even replace cannabis use for many ailments. It's actually partly responsible for me having the desire to quit and feel good about it. I speculate my body will regulate itself back to a withdrawless state with time and perseverance. Hot showers can help the nausea. Being in a shower and alternating the water temp from hot to cold every 2 minutes or so can help with inability to sleep. Its very relaxing to go from ice cold water and freezing to the hot water. Once the hot water hits, the body will feel tingly all over and satisfied. I just wanted to share that from my personal experience. The most difficult thing is not being able to sleep at night. It's worse if you try fighting it. Get out of bed and decide allright, then I'll just stay awake. Use that time to do things you enjoy that you otherwise couldn't because of the lack of time in a busy day. Do the breathing, relax, do many new things spontaneously. You'll be suprised most likely the next day, that you haven't lost much function. You can't do this indefinately, but a night or two really won't mess people up too bad. Remember that your mind has the ultimate power and the placebo effect is true in many cases. So, don't buy into the victim mentality of withdrawl discomforts. Try considering it fuel for your will power to create the changes to the things which you desire to change. Also, look for many answers to questions inside yourself and not others. Everyone is different when it comes to the fine details. Find what works for you. Cannabis suppresses REM sleep, most responsible for the dreaming phase of sleep. So, when you stop, you'll experience rebound and have colorful dreams, could be bad as well. Allow me to suggest to now enjoy this rebound by creating a dream journal. Write your dreams as soon as you wake up. Write them down and don't try to to analyze them. Especially from any Fraudean perspective. Then after a month or two, look back at your journal and see how your subconscious is speaking to you through dreams. It reveals a lot and sometimes people even have precognitive manifestations. Establish your firm will to resolve and you will gain more power and self control then you thought was possible. Many mysteries of the mind are unsolved. Cheers everyone, hope this helps.
