I experienced the same thing. 2yrs of smoking to cold turkey. (Day4) of diarrhea. I wouldn't say it's consistent tho. Only 2-3 times a day but I get regular poop's too

Marijuana seems to slow down gastrointestinal motility and is used to treat diarrhea from several different causes.

What you are experiencing sounds like "rebound" where you body has adjusted to the marijuana so as not to cause constipation. When you stop ingesting it, you're left with an over-active bowel.

Same principle as people who chronically take laxatives and develop constipation when they stop.

Or people who chronically take constipation causing meds, like opioids, develop diarrhea after stopping the opioid (like codeine or morphine).

If you find yourself with diarrhea after stopping marijuana, try a tiny amount of codeine. Not enough to constipate but to counter the diarrhea. Codeine with Tylenol is not as controlled as other opioids (no special scripts or databases before prescribing. It is available in Canada as brand 222 without a prescription.

For me it's completely different after I smoke hash or weed the next morning it's like explosive crazy c**p. But I've heard hash is very hard on the stomach when you smoke it pure, I agree with people's advice saying your body may be ridding you of it into the next day. My wife has the same issue its weird .

I get diarrhea, anxiety, hot flashes, sweats and irritability when I quit smoking marijuana for about 20 hours, it starts. I quit several times for a few days and the same symptoms return over and over so I know without a doubt it is marijuana withdrawal. Still nothing in comparison to withdrawals from harder drugs. Trying to quit again. It's been 23 hours so far and that's when withdrawals start. I been pretty much smoking for 15 years and lately past several months every day, all day.

I have been off pot for 4 days after smoking every day for the last 8 years and it's harder than I thought it would be. I have the chills, diarrhea, shakes, high anxiety and feelings of doom. I know it's just the withdrawal from pot and I am going to make it but I can see it's not a easy drug to quit. If I had a choice I would have gradually slowed down before going cold turkey. I am getting a new job and have to pass a pee test in two weeks.

Six or seven days cold turkey after ~6 years of regular daily smoke just to dry out for a time and my stool has become increasingly softer until yesterday and today my gut is gurgling like a loud drain and tonight watery stool. Had one weird dream yesterday during an impromptu nap (don't normally nap) which was quite vivid and normally I sleep with no recollection of any dreams. Other than these signs, I feel little different in any other modality except that I want to smoke but seem to have no difficulty 'just saying no'. I also smoke cigarettes heavily but cold turkey there gives me spontaneous rage attacks which, after one such during driving and watching people in extreme old age, has convinced me that carcinoma is just as good as any other exit and (rationalization alert) I like to smoke cigarettes. But, regarding mota (Mexico) withdrawal, it does not seem so difficult for this chronic smoker and I smoke high potency Oregon medical bud. No gut pain as seems to be reported below. Besides a simple desire to get high way below anything that could be described as "craving", withdrawal seems quite easy. Coffee with takusan sugar is my main source of nutrition which may also contribute to my gurgling gut but doesn't usually. Probably just a rebound effect from mota's ability to mitigate diarrhea. Psychic or other somatic issues are zero at this time. Some of the stuff I see below seems way overblown and the 'medical' type pages are just bullshiat in my experience.
