Hey everyone so I've been a chronic smoker off and on for past two years but smoked at least twice a day at most 5 times a day. I recently stopped because I came home for break and think I have the same deal as everyone else. I have had diarhea for the past week stopped smoking for 4 days now but heavy smoking for about a week. It also doesn't help that the GI stomach bug is going around and I think I had that for the past 2 days also. I'm glad to hear I'm no the only one with this happening to me it was starting to scare me haha. The want to eat has also completly dissappeared where no type of food sounds good or even appitizin. Thanks everyone for posting this stuff learned a lot . Good luck with everyones problems.

Diarreah is a symptom of withdrawl. I've been on and off of cannibus 4 - 8g a week use for 2 yrs now id say 90% on 10% off. I'm in the process of finalizing my use due to the fact I know I don't need it and it is a hinderance to my finances. I was a daily user constantly smoking it after I lost my job to cope. I was at the pooint where my tolerance levels were too high and smoking would hardly give me any effect anymore. I still smoke my resin here and there maybe once a day to not put my body into a complete shock withdrawl. At the moment I have stopped smoking constantly since 3 days ago and my diarrah is still there. Very watery but doesn't hurt. Just annoying and my appetite is gone. I still shove food down my throat just to get nurturing even tho my appetite is gone and I try to ride my bike everyday consistantly for 20 or more miles a day to clean me out faster because I've done this before having these withdrawl symptoms. I've also experienced cold sweats at night and irregular sleeping. I don't remember my dreams at the moment but as soon as the thc exits my body like it did the last time I quit I experienced remembering my dreams.

These withdrawl symptoms are some that I've experienced. I've also experienced a hieghtend emotional state coming off of it. Maybe a little hostile and losing some sorts of selfcontrol at times.
If anyone has any inclination to quit, good for you. Persevere through the anxiety and other withdrawl symptoms.
Id say after a week and a half it should wear down like it did the last time for me.
Hope this helps anyone who has had similar symptoms of marijuana withdrawl.

All of you need to learn facts about MJ... first of all marijuana is not "toxic" there are no "toxins" to get rid of.. secondly whoever really thinks that it is, then why does every single human being have a natural low concentration of THC in your body, and why are there THC receptors in your brain? the fact of the matter is that marijuana has no toxic affects on the body, however going from not smoking to smoking MJ, or vise versa can affect your bodies metabolism in not so threatening ways.. little fun fact.. THERE ARE NO DEATHS DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO MARIJUANA! Meaning, that nothing about it can kill you in any way shape or form.. you have to smoke twice your body weight in weed to not "kill yourself" but suffocate yourself.. yes, smoke in the lungs is dangerous.. but honestly if anyone can smoke twice your body weight quick enough to suffocate yourself then let me know because its down right impossible (most people can't even smoke a half ounce much less 250-450 pounds).

If you want to know the real story and not the informal lies the government feeds people about marijuana then i suggest people do research.. like the saying goes... "I DON'T DO DRUGS I SMOKE WEED".

Happy  Toking :)

I'm on day 4 of my T-Break, and experienced diarrhea the last two mornings. I saw somewhere that along with being stored in fat cells, THC is also stored in the intestines, so your body is flushing it out. It also seems after it happens--the first morning being the worst--- my other symptoms recede more and more (less headache, more appetite, sleepier nights). What I've talked and read from a lot of friends all seem to conclude "the three day hump", which I certainly won't deny. Note: Withdrawals vary from person to person, weight, metabolism, frequency, and tolerance all being a factor. The first 3 days off are always hard-- though part of me likes gauging it leaving my body simply for the expectation of how high I'll get in a few days when I decide to smoke again (or when my Aluminum Vapor Genie  Pipe comes in. Whichever.)

My suggestion is, if the withdrawal seems too intense, ween yourself, reduce it to every other day the first week, then flat out stop. That definitely helps.

Also, smoking every day for the last 2 or 3 months, I still can't fathom people smoking 7 grams a day. Holy balls. Half a g tends to be more than enough to last a day for me, or however much equates to an eighth lasting 2 weeks at a time. But maybe it's just my scrawniness and metabolism or something.

Almost everything has toxins in it; Coffee, preservatives, city air, etc. That's normally what food poisoning is all about. Toxin doesn't always mean super mega poison. Our bodies are built to handle a manageable level of toxins. The difference with this is, your body wakes up the first morning going "Allllllright! Where's....where's my THC? I haven't had it in a day. Oh god. Oh god. Oh god. ....Oh god." and it flushes out the THC in your intestines. You'll still have THC metabolites in your fat.

First off, I am really glad I found this thread. I thought there was something wrong with me. Anyways here is my story for you other pot smokers experiencing diarrhea. I am 25 have been smoking daily for about 6 years and I mean every single day. I have owned 2 volcano vaporizers, so you can imagine how seriously I take my chronic. Anyways I just wanted to refrain from smoking for a week (no real reason, just wanted to see how it would feel). Day 2 and 3 I felt nauseated, feel better now, but still feel anxious here and there.. nothing too serious... It's been a week now and I'm still sh**ting like there is no tomorrow. In fact I am going to go take a sh*t as soon as this post is done and I just went to the washroom like 45 minutes back.
I have a fast metabolism and take about 3 sh**s a day on marijuana, now that I've been off it, I sh*t up to 6 - 8 times a day. My appetite has reduced, but I workout a lot, so diet has been okay. (Workout you will feel hungry!!!)
I can't say for sure if its the marijuana, but it is highly probable, as this has never happened before.
I will wait a few more days and keep updating.
P.S. I love chronic and don't think I will ever stop for good, I just want to regulate my intake. Anyways I will update.
:)

You should tell your doctor because they will get your urine samples & blood test's, they know the THC will be there cause it stays in the system for about 30 days or 28. Tell them you smoke & they will give you Valium to help with the withdrawals & they should give you something for your stomach lining.

Smoking weed is seriously not the best thing since I smoked for 2 months straight everyday & I had the worst muchies after smoking & all I would eat was c**p junk food.

I have been sick for 6 days now & I have just started getting better. Every morning until today I was vomiting at 2:30 & it was just acid & flem but I would vomit about 3 or 4 times then go back to sleep & wake up at 4 & vomit for awhile then fall asleep & wake back up at 7 & vomit till about 9 then it went away & I felt better in the day.

Smoking withdrawals are different for every person. You won't die from it, its just extremely painful when you need to vomit to much & you feel sick in the stomach like an acidy upset feeling & thats because you have ruined your stomach acids & they need time to repair. Just give up thats the only way cause it will only get worse & worse & you will just become skinny & very sick. So my advice tell your doctor you smoke cause they won't tell the police there private files & they cannot give out information to anyone with out your consent.

Some people can handle it & others can't so if its happening to you just quite cause its not worth it. It will go away just hang in there :) & eat fruit & drink water.

Hello everyone,
I have been smoking marijuana regularly for the past 2 years. I had to stop smoking during the last week because I travelled to go visit some of my relatives and where I am right now I wouldnt know how to score any.

I have noticed that since I stopped smoking ( it's day number 6 now) I am suffering from chronic diarrhea. My question is if it is possible that it could somekind of withdrawal symptom or is it something I am eating here?
Sorry for the bizzare topic. It's just that I wanted to be sure wether it's the marijuana or not before seeking proffessional help.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have also been having this problem. Two weeks ago, I decided to quite smoking marijauana. The 3-4 days were hell as I suffered from withdrawal. I smoked twice in the past two weeks, this past friday being the last time. However, every moring I wake up, I have diarrhea and will be fine for the rest of the day. I took immodium hoping that it would solve my problem, but it just prevent me from having a bowel movement for one day. At this point, Im concerned and annoyed, and have decided to check up with the Doc to see what the possible problem is. Im going to try and avoid the topic of marijuana even though I should mention it, as it would help him give me a better diagnosis.

It's like smoking cigarettes. I quit smoking cigarettes in the past and the same thing happened to me as what when I quit smoking marijuana...but less intense. It's just nerves from quitting and your body coming back up to speed again. Remember MJ inhibits/ slows...that's why you become relaxed. When I stop (is usually because I ran out) I may feel a bit warm/ feverish, diarrhea, maybe a little sour in the stomach etc. I basically just feel like I have a low level flu/ cold.

There's no way you can really stop it, other than maybe spreading out it's use. Do it one day, stop the next day, do it the day after, stop the day after that etc. but it's when you start chaining it together throughout any given day, that your body will even get use to it for that day and you'll end up with the these negative quirks.
