Interesting I only have been experiencing the mushy sh**s when I consume (I rather eat in biscuits or brownies as I really do not like butting snoke of any sort down my lungs). Is it the THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) that is causing the runs (the same chemical agent that causes one to get stoned) or what?

I have diarrhoea virtually every time I consume cannabis.  Why this is is still beyond my scope. So would ask, well, if you know that you will be suffering the runny you know what, then why continue to consume CS?

Well I suppose thatthe positive effects of easing painful intestinal cramping is worth the side effect. I have IBS anyway and it dies help with the painful cramping, at a cost -- diarrhoea!

i am willing to put up with that as going to the bathroom several times a day is not PAINFUL like the stomach cramping! I suppose that the movement of the intestinal contant eases the cramps and makes them less pain inducing.

My advice however whatever your own situation with diarrhoea is, plese don't forget to keep yourself hydraded by drinling rehydration drinks such as Gatoraide or even Pedialite.

Thank

I always get diarrhea after the 3-4 day of quitting, it's deff not the flu kinda or stomach virus, and I've had it last about a week before. A lot does have to with your diet. I tend to take a lot of different vitamins when I quit, probiotic enzymes, multivitamins, etc, and they seem to help a lot

Well I could be wrong but according to what I've been reading... Only about 10% of people will experience these symptoms because only about 10% of the population find it addictive. The only reason you have withdrawal symptoms is because you are addicted, therefore, that is probably why you are fine.

Been reading through and found some answers very interesting so thought I would join in. I am a regular stoner, unless i'm very poor I'd say I smoke about a quarter-half or so a week. I've been smoking for a few years and everytime i go a few days without the herb, instant diarrhoea and anxiety for me. I suffered from extreme anxiety, depression and aspergers before trying weed. I was hooked on alcohol, tramadol, anything that was about. I liked being high. When I discovered and gave weed a try a few years ago, those issues faded away. I am currently 22 by the way, and since trying weed I have got myself a degree and a job. I am also a type 1 diabetic, and I believe weed is a f*****g MIRACLE drug for that. The benefits there are endless. But so far in England it is not medicinal, so I'm stuck with NHS pills etc that doesn't help or makes me feel sick. My theory is simple-I think weed is on this planet to help us with these issues. The problem is, it isn't always there-so when I can't afford/find any, I naturally get very anxious/guilty about stuff and cant stop crapping. If it was allowed to grow normally and people picked and smoked it without a moments thought, it would be perfect. Instead due to the outlaws and myths, we are stuck hanging out with dealers and buy in bulk incase we can't get supply. We don't know where its grown, or what strain it is, we just smoke it. This to me is unnatural on the body, and going in and out of smoking weed for 3 years or so, overtime is having a worse effect on me personally. It's like my body can't get used to it. But when I am high I'm confident, my injections don't hurt, my blood sugars stable, food is awesome and I put effort into making it good, I design/draw/be creative, and I have damn good nights playing mario kart with friends. I am counting the days till the ignorance and small mindedness of this world will once and for all give up the war on this superdrug and we are able to all find our own happiness in whatever way we choose to. Love to you all Jack

I'm 20 yrs old. I've smoked MJ for 3 years pretty regularly, but for the past month or so I have been waking up at 6am like clockwork with chronic diarrhea. My schedule is pretty consistent. I usually work 8-4. I can never eat breakfast because I have no appetite. Some days I can eat a small lunch but even then I'm still taking numerous trips to el banó at work... When I leave work I usually go home, relax, smoke and very quickly gain my appetite back. I've been making sure that I eat very healthy food that should help better my diarrhea problem. But it has no been successful. I have just scheduled a doctors appointment. I'm just worried the doctors won't be able to diagnose me correctly because I will have to keep the green a secret. So I haven't been trying to quit but I've still had very similar symptoms as people here who have been winging off? I'm just young and worried and annoyed. This needs to end.

after 40+ years of daily use I stopped cold turkey 3 days ago. Besides anxiety and depression I've had severe diarrhea since day 1. Coincidence I thought until I started reading up. Seems to be a common side effect of withdrawal.

Same exact symptoms. I'm hoping it goes away soon. I was on the fence about quitting, but now that I have been experiencing withdrawals I'm seriously done with marijuana. I smoked around 10 times a week for the past two years and after only a week the cravings have decreased dramatically while the physical withdrawals seem to be peeking. I can't wait until all of the THC has cleared from my body

Dear OP As a regular user/quitter I've found that quitting after long runs of daily use, gives me the following withdrawalsymptoms: Mild insomnia and chronic diarrhea for up to a month. First time I got a full feces check (yum) by my doctor, and there was no answer to what caused this. Hence my suspicion to to withdrawal from using spiked. It's not a common symptom but some people experience it. I wouldn't worry too much and make sure my diet is full of fibers (although it might not initially effect my stool) and keep water levels up. Cranberry juice has been used for many years to help cleanse the body for toxins or bacteria so it might speed up the process. If your experience bloody stool, see your doctor. Otherwise it's perfectly normal to have undigested or liquid stool.
